| 01 Mar 2018: The Beatles/"Beatles for Sale" (1964) [revisited] http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/03/beatles-for-sale-revisited.html
no reply as the opener is just kind of strange it's not really a strong one in any sense of the word
the problems with a lot of songs on this album (such as i'm a loser) is that they merely exist i have no strong feelings one way or the other
baby's in black is the first notable song on the album it's one where they actually tried
rock and roll music may be a "cover for the sake of finishing the album" but fuck if it's not fun
i'll follow the sun is really good when you're listening to it but afterward it's kind of forgettable mr. moonlight is the absolute worst song on the album bar none
kansas city/hey-hey-hey-hey is one of the band's best covers at all ever at any point eight days a week is probably the best performance the band has turned in at this point (maybe not the best song but they sing it so well that it doesn't really matter)
words of love is the textbook example of filler honey don't is probably ringo's worst song with the band; there's just nothing exciting or memorable about it
every little thing is a contractual obligation song i don't want to spoil the party is just a worse version of i'm a loser
what you're doing is a 10/10 and i refuse to believe otherwise; it should have closed the album but instead everybody's trying to be my baby closes the album and it's not a flattering closer |

this album came out on my ninth birthday
gemini spaceship is the best track here it's got an absolutely great drum part and the guitar(?) part is low in the mix, but still legitimately positive adjective |

| 08 Mar 2018: Night Ranger/"Seven" (1998) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/03/motorin-motorin-motorin-motorin-motorin.html
why did they call their eighth album released in 1998 seven instead of their seventh album which was released in 1997???
side note: i fucking hate this wells fargo zelle commercial the conversation is so unnatural no one talks that way and honestly just use cash like a normal fucking person it's a twisted fucking world where on any ad to sell something you have to specify that you want PHYSICAL UNITED STATES CURRENCY rather than bitcoin or some fucking weird-ass digital transfer
album's shit |

they call it that because this is the point where their ability to make good music vanished i'm exaggerating but you know

| 12 Mar 2018: Jimi Hendrix/"Both Sides of the Sky" (2018) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/03/front-and-left.html
there is a reason that jimi didn't release most of this during his lifetime there are a few good tracks here but most of the album seems unfinished; particularly the last three tracks |

| okay so my internet shit the bed and i had to review some albums in weird-ass ways but since all of my word documents were on the computer and the computer couldn't into internet, i had to wait to post until today
sorry
16 Mar 2018: Badfinger/"Airwaves" (1979) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/03/wave-em-round-like-you-just-dont-care.html
this is legitimately the best badfinger album Lost Inside Your Love, Love is Gonna Come at Last, Sympathy, and Come Down Hard are the first legitimately great songs the band ever wrote (Come and Get It was, of course, written by Paul McCartney)
if i were in a better internet situation right now i'd definitely add Come Down Hard to the list of good riffs that i keep forgetting about
i'm legitimately impressed by this album, honestly if you like classic rock on the softer side of that radio designation, this is a really good choice you could call it generic and you'd probably be right but sometimes generic is just what you want/need
worst track is the last track they put a lot of effort into trying to make the next let it be or whatever but it just isn't good |

| 18 Mar 2018: Stone Temple Pilots/"Stone Temple Pilots" (2018) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/03/big-x.html
the first album STP released after scott weiland's death (is it bad that 'stapp' came to mind before 'weiland') so they replaced weiland with CH3ZD4R B3NN1NGT0N right but then he died so they replaced HIM with some guy from that singing show the voice i think already the single most relevant constant from that show ever oh wait sorry he was on the x factor USA so the voice still hasn't done anything remotely notable
i hate when bands have more than one self-titled album (unless they're weezer in which case it's awesome)
it's not bad better than i was expecting really
the album shines when it's you know rock songs instead of ballads new guy does a pretty good job if i didn't know scott weiland died you could have convinced me it was just him after losing some of what made him special due to
age/drugs/whatever |

| 20 Mar 2018: Mountain/"Masters of War" (2007) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/03/the-best-card-game.html
how about an album entirely consisting of bob dylan covers that's new and exciting right
putting ozzy osbourne on masters of war just makes me want to listen to war pigs
i do not like this version of mr. tambourine man and this version of like a rolling stone may be the single worst cover of any song ever recorded |
