| 31 Jan 2018: Def Leppard/"Adrenalise" (1992) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/01/lies-all-adrena-lies.html
the main "dun dun dun" guitar riff of the first track would later go on to be used on a huge hit for britney spears; baby one more time |

| 01 Feb 2018: The Beatles/"A Hard Day's Night" (1964) [revisited] http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/02/a-hard-days-night-revisited.html
this was the companion album to the first of five movies the band would be a part of in their lifespan it is also the best of their five movies (as evidenced by the classic scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OMjYiCknUYg ) the first half of the album is songs from the movie and the second half is songs not from the movie
so what's there to say about the title track i like how john and paul both share the song
i should have known better is for the most part forgettable but it uses the cheap tactic of forcing memorability with its "oh woahwoahwoah iiiiiiiiiiiiii"
if i fell is a pretty good ballad but it's outshined hard by and i love her later on (john is simply worse at straightforward ballads than paul)
i'm happy just to dance with you has a neat guitar tone to it but that's about it
and i love her is 10/10 perfect nothing else can be said for it
tell me why is a REALLY nice song; it could have been a different band's most popular song any day of the week shame it had to be stuck here where it will never get its due and a definite shame about the next track overshadowing it in every way
can't buy me love ends both the songs that were in the movie and the string of 10/10 tracks a definite candidate for the band's best pre-1967 song
opening the non-movie tracks with any time at all was a great move honestly while not up to the standard of the last three tracks, any time at all is still a really nice track i like john's vocals a lot on the chorus
i'll cry instead is the worst song on the album it's just filler, plain and simple you can tell that john just didn't care about it at all in the way he sings it
things we said today is one of those songs that has no immediate impact but the more you listen to the album the more you appreciate it i really like the atmosphere of the song and paul's vocal part
when i get home is also filler there is absolutely nothing remarkable or even approaching "okay" about this song i may have been too harsh on i'll cry instead; it's better than this shit
you can't do that is barely any better
i'll be back is better than the last two tracks so i probably overrated it but well
honestly, this album had more filler than i'd remembered it's got more than enough classics to earn its place on the shelf but it's really front-loaded |

| 02 Feb 2018: Anthrax/"Sound of White Noise" (1993) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/02/eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.html
the best anthrax album i know that's not exactly high praise but i actually enjoyed this a lot more than i'd expected to (my expectations were rock bottom)
there's a cover of cheap trick's auf wiedersehen here as a bonus track but it's nowhere near the original cheap trick's is far more intense i mean it's not a bad cover i guess but the original is just so much better it's not even funny (this version gets better at the end but it's still so similar yet inferior that i wouldn't even bother)
then there's a cover of thin lizzy's cowboy song here's the thing about covering thin lizzy: phil lynott's voice is perfect he could have sang about unicorns and rainbows and still have sounded like the manliest motherfucker ever to live again, the performance anthrax guy gives isn't bad by any means but he's covering a song sung by someone who was perfect at making the song feel RIGHT thin lizzy's original cowboy song is just untouchable |

does the use of "thunder" instead of "lightning" bother anyone else
this album merely exists there's nothing about it that is truly notable or that i will remember in ten minutes |

| 04 Feb 2018: Robert Plant/"The Principle of Moments" (1983) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/02/moments-high-school.html
the backing vocals in the first track are kind of really annoying messin' with the mekon just isn't good; should never have been released (there's not even a melody)
a lot of the songs here are just annoying |

why did they perform under my thumb in this manner remove the lyrics and you can't even tell it's under my thumb
on lady jane did they even bother to tune the guitars properly
the second-best song here is somehow 19th nervous breakdown (i can't get no satisfaction is the best one because they didn't try at all on assembling the setlist) |

do you remember these guys's song?! i do i hate the one part where he delays it like "this is the story of a ................... girl"
i don't know what the other fifty minutes of this album is here for (revolve isn't bad though i suppose) |

keep in touch would be a great song if the title lyric were removed completely
the third track is godawful in not just lyrical content but also as a piece of music he could be saying "fuck yeah tits and chocolate milk" with that voice in the chorus and i'd still hate it okay i just had the best idea ever you know how boobs are full of milk????? WHAT IF we genetically ENGINEERED it so that boobs would instead be full of CHOCOLATE milk just give me the nobel prize now thanks |

2013's right thoughts etc. was disappointing, only having like two good songs let's hope the five years since have been good to the band they have not
why is there a song with rapping
the first track is interesting but after that it's just fucking boring |

if eric clapton would wait and release an album every other year with the five best tracks from the two existing albums, they might be okay maybe |

| 19 Feb 2018: David Bowie/"Earthling" (1997) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/02/hu-man.html
the first track proves that no one is better at singing "so far away" than ZP theart bowie's constant "so far away" is so fucking annoying
dead man walking is most likely bowie's best song from the '90s i also like the distorted guitar in the last thing you should do
the album starts out BAD but then it gets good so if it were a four-song EP consisting of dead man walking, the last thing you should do, law, and seven years in tibet, it would be a great thing shame about the rest of it |
