| BONUS REVIEW: "Corporate America" by Boston http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/05/obama-by-nice-guy.html Cashing in on the recent pop music trends, Boston decided to become a boy band. The title "Corporate America" is a joke, because this sounds more like an *NSYNC album than a Boston album. Imagine Tom Scholz hearing No Strings Attached, slamming his hands down on the table, and shouting "EUREKA". A single tear streams down his face. The solution was in front of him the whole time. He sends a passionate thank you letter to Carson Daily for showing *NSYNC videos on Total Request Live. He sends another thank you letter to Justin Timberlake, whose voice struck such a chord with Tom Scholz. Tom Scholz calls up Brad Delp, and they set to work on a new Boston album. Corporate America.
By the way, the title track is absolutely atrocious. ALSO A CHICK SINGS ON THIS ALBUM WORST ALBUM CANCELING MY SUBSCRIPTION |

| 31 Jul 2012: "Made in Heaven" by Queen So, this is Queen's last album. Freddie recorded vocal tracks before his death, and the band put music to them. Also, vocals by Brian and the other guy This isn't a fun album. It's VERY SERIOUS and I will probably never listen to it again. NO ONE DARED CRITICISE A DYING MAN'S LAST ALBUM ONLY HERE WILL YOU GET HARD-HITTING COMMENTARY ON THIS SELF-INDULGENT THING THAT IS PRETTY BAD last track is the worst thing |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Boom" by The Sonics http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/04/is-butthurt-by-this-guy.html I really liked Here are the Sonics!, so I went for this one. It was released in 1966. This album doesn't have as much energy, which is bad, since the energy on the first album was phenomenal. It's like they're just phoning it in. It's still a super-good album, though. |

| 02 Aug 2012: "Daydream Nation" by Sonic Youth Everyone ever says this is a great album somehow. From this, I've only heard Teenage Riot, which is pretty okay, if a bit too long. I like the dude, but I hate the chick. Like always. I'd really like this album if not for the chick, and the fact that the songs are too long. And some of them are kind of boring. Okay, it's a bad album. |

| BONUS REVIEW: "What's Going On" by Marvin Gaye http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/04/forever-and-always-by-always-and.html
This album is good for what it is, but I'm not into what it is. It's rather okay. Save the Children is pretentious bullshit, though. The message of the song is fine, but the way it's presented is just pretentious as fuck. Also, God is Love is kind of bullshit. RELIGION IS FUN KIDS RELIGION RELIGION RELIGION Religious songs or "GOD IS GREAT :D" songs are cancer. Absolute cancer. You aren't going to convert anyone to "GOD IS GREAT :D", and the best result is alienating half your audience. Worst-case scenario? You get killed by some guy who really doesn't agree with your views on religion and would like you to shut up. Politics in songs works the same way. There's nothing I hate more than "DUDE THIS ALBUM IS GREAT CHECK IT OUT", then getting a fucking sermon or political debate in the middle of the album. Right On has the most annoying ratchet-y sound ever. Fuck it. Seriously, this song is seven minutes, and right there is someone twisting a ratchet (socket wrench?) and annoying THE FUCK out of me. SEVEN MINUTES OF TWISTING A RATCHET GUYS
In conclusion, /mu/ hates me.
THE OFFICIAL LIST OF TOPICS I HATE IN MUSIC: Politics Religion "Unfaithfulness" in marriage Peace War 9/11 Music itself Tubthumping |

| 03 Aug 2012: "Monster" by R.E.M. I own this on CD. I'd been waiting until it came up chronologically to review it, and here we are. I'm a big fan of the opener, What's the Frequency, Kenneth?. Imagine R.E.M. making a more rock-oriented album. That's Monster. And you know what? It works. Very well, in fact. |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Nine Lives" by REO Speedwagon http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/04/wow-by-trolling.html This album is more rock-y than the two I previously reviewed, which came directly after this. It's also not as good. Selling out was the best decision REO Speedwagon ever made. The last track of this album saves the shit out of it. Seriously, if you only listen to one song from this album in your lifetime, make it Back on the Road Again. |

| 04 Aug 2012: "No More Tears" by Ozzy Osbourne Coming into this, I love the title track and Mama, I'm Coming Home. I like Hellraiser and Desire. I hate Mr. Tinkertrain. Mama, I'm Coming Home works well because Ozzy isn't the best singer. It sounds much more genuine. Desire is actually much better than I'd remembered. Also, I've totally heard S.I.N. before. I totally like it a lot. Totally. Hellraiser is totally the best Ozzy song in any Grand Theft Auto game aside from Bark at the Moon Zombie Stomp is so mediocre. I can't decide if it's "mediocre but whatever" or "mediocre so get it away". I'll go for the latter, because it's over six minutes long. Also, it's fucking weird coming right after Time After Time. Overall, however, this album is REALLY FUCKING GOOD |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Sweet Fanny Adams" by The Sweet http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/04/shotgunning-with-sniper-by-could-be.html most of my reviews from this period were responses to orange's So, basically, the Desolation Boulevard I reviewed was a combination of U.K. Desolation Boulevard and this album. I'm okay with this. The songs they didn't choose from this album are just okay. |

| 05 Aug 2012: "Virtual XI" by Iron Maiden Welp. Futureal is actually pretty good. Would be better with, say, Bruce Dickinson. Everything about this album feels off. The song lengths, the forever-chorus, the Blaze Bayley This album is decent enough, I suppose. It's better than The X Factor. RYM says otherwise, but they're all idiots anyway |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Come Taste the Band" by Deep Purple http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/04/all-coming-by-guys.html it's still a bonus if i do it every day Deep Purple Mk. III is over. This is Deep Purple Mk. IV. Blackmore left forever, so Tommy Bolin joined in. I like Tommy Bolin.
Come Taste the Band is just as good as Burn and Stormbringer, aside from the fact that it doesn't have "that one song". The thing keeping Come Taste the Band from being as good as Burn or Stormbringer is the song "This Time Around". Hanson did it much better You Keep on Movin' isn't very good, either. JOIN ME NEXT MONTH FOR MK. V then in october machine head |

| BONUS REVIEW: "The World Needs a Hero" by Megadeth http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/04/if-you-wanna-go-by-out-to-that.html I haven't really listened to any of this, aside from Return to Hangar, which is pretty awful. 1,000 Times Goodbye would be a lot better if it weren't so cheesy. Overall, this album is pretty okay. Better than Risk and the Broderick albums, because it has an actual highlight. But it's not much better, due to the second side of the album being mostly awful. |

| 07 Aug 2012: "Sabotage" by Black Sabbath THIS FUCKING ALBUM Symptom of the Universe, Hole in the Sky, Megalomania, The Writ, and The Thrill of it All are super-great. Among the band's best, even. Am I Going Insane is insanely okay. But Supertzar and Don't Start Too Late are pure-strain filler. At the end of The Thrill of it All, I was prepared to give this album a 5/5. Seriously. A 4.5 isn't too bad, I guess. |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Creedence Clearwater Revival" by Creedence Clearwater Revival http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/04/i-cant-believe-orange-is-ripping-me-off.html debutin' I hate the colours on the album cover. They're too bright and don't go well with the band's sound. Plus, the green letters kind of blend in with the blue background. I Put a Spell on You is a really strong opener. Good job or whatever I do not like Suzie Q at all. I never have. This album is good, but it doesn't impress me. Their later albums, sans Willy and the Poor Boys, are better. |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Load" by Metallica http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/04/affluency-by-men-of.html This month we will Load, then next month we will Reload Fun fact!: The album cover is a microscope slide of a mixture of blood and semen. No joke. Wikipedia wouldn't lie to me The late Purple is on-record as saying that this album has no redeeming qualities. However, he said that in 2007, so the statement may be outdated as FUCK.
I disagree with 2007 Purple. This album, while not amazing, is pretty okay. Average, certainly, but not bad. okay yeah it's pretty bad but it has some okay songs it has more bad than good though a lot more okay yeah it's almost completely awful |

| 09 Aug 2012: "Brainwashed" by George Harrison George's last album, with parts recorded posthumously by Jeff Lynne, Dhani Harrison, and some drummer guy. George, you won't find your life on your knees, bro. Unless your life is oral sex. RELIGION IS SO GREAT AND I LOVE GOD BECAUSE GOD IS GREAT Overall, this album is okay. Except the title track. That is awful. |
