i was simply sick of that song
now, fifteen years later, i'm kind of nostalgic for it unfortunately
the mind is a weird thing
shame about the rest of their discography

this is the worst cover of painkiller i've ever heard
they removed the drum intro and changed the riff, melody, and lyrics
very disappointing

the band didn't want to do that
so instead they made a new album with tracks written "in the style of" their older albums
so this one

be good

to recap the muse experience:
showbiz, origin of symmetry, and absolution are all still great albums
black holes is half amazing half trash
the resistance is godawful
the second law is okay
drones is uh fine i guess; some good moments but that drill sergeant shit is, as the kids say, "cringe"
simulation theory is GARBAGE
the twentieth anniversary version of origin of symmetry is also GARBAGE

the title track is a rewrite of marilyn manson's "the beautiful people"
tell me it's not
it's legitimately kind of hilarious
compliance is honestly in the same boat of being kind of funny

you make me feel like it's halloween is the band's best song since madness

by "their older albums", muse must have meant black holes and later

when i was reviewing the albums of "every" song in the guitar hero series, i skipped one of the GH2 downloadable tracks
let us remedy that and probably hate it

the reason i like this and not most death metal is that the annoying deepthroat screams are balanced by actual singing
the ratio is way in favour of singing
i enjoyed this far more than i'd ever imagined i would
