| 30 May 2018: Toto/"Hydra" (1979) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/05/cut-off-one-track-and-two-more-will.html
the follow-up to toto's abysmal 1978 self-titled debut the only good thing on that album was hold the line and it didn't even have the courtesy to begin or end on that track
this album is better than the self-titled and toto IV |

| 31 May 2018: Motorhead/"Kiss of Death" (2006) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/05/dokken-did-it-better.html
just kind of exists it's like they tried to make another motorhead album specifically rather than just writing music |

| 01 Jun 2018: The Beatles/"Revolver" (1966) [revisited] http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/06/revolver-revisited.html
i've revisited this album before but hey why not this is the band's worst album by miles and i will not give you an inch on this one
the first track is taxman, which has a nice guitar solo and nice drumming but that's about it; terrible opener the part where they actually say the names of then-current british tax collectors is absolutely awful and not only dates the song but also shows that, without a doubt, the song was written just to whine about taxes
eleanor rigby's biggest fault is that paul puts no emotion into it it's just so lethargic and i cannot get behind that
i'm only sleeping also has a lethargic vocal performance but that makes sense because it's, you know, a song about sleeping i'm only sleeping is one of the highlights of the album, and maybe their best song with nonstandard instrumentation
love you to is an incredibly mediocre version of the next year's within you, without you, which wasn't that good to begin with here, there, and everywhere sounds more like a mediocre wings song than anything; it should have been saved for wings at the speed of sound
yellow submarine is ringo's most famous song with the band but like i've heard it so much that i can't bring myself to care i'm coming around on she said, she said; it's pretty good (i still think the black keys did it better though)
good day sunshine would be better without the chorus and your bird can sing should have opened the album; it's really good and wouldn't scare people off by being weird like some of the other songs here (one of the best guitar riffs the band ever did also)
for no one is completely out there from the rest of the album as far as tone goes but that's what makes it so great one of two songs vying for best on the album for sure
doctor robert is OFFENSIVELY mediocre; THE most mediocre song the band ever put out the fact that they put doctor robert on an actual album is baffling (this is why that british "singles aren't on the albums" shit is whack)
i want to tell you (how mediocre this song is) no emotion, no care, no anything
got to get you into my life is the other best song on the album; it absolutely is everything the rest of this album isn't (good, full of energy, not pretentious)
the album ends on tomorrow never knows ho boy i like the drums i hate everything else i especially hate the fake bird noises and whatever filter they have on lennon's voice
to settle this once and for all:
GREAT SONGS: I'm Only Sleeping She Said, She Said And Your Bird Can Sing For No One Got to Get You Into My Life
GOOD SONGS: Yellow Submarine
EXCEEDINGLY MEDIOCRE SONGS: Taxman Eleanor Rigby Love You To Here, There, and Everywhere Good Day Sunshine I Want to Tell You
BAD SONGS: Doctor Robert Tomorrow Never Knows |

their comeback album from last year was better |

| 05 Jun 2018: The Sisters of Mercy/"Floodland" (1987) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/06/purge-communists.html
to celebrate the GTA IV review that came out yesterday
the fucking communists invaded britain and made this album, whose lead track is about how the US should get out of berlin and let russia have it the worst part is that it's actually a really good song usually i hate the overblown choir-type vocals that bands use but it works REALLY well on this song
this corrosion would be better if it didn't have that stupid "angelic chorus" at the front everything after this corrosion is just whatever if that's a fragment of neverland, i definitely don't want to hear the bonus track where it's twelve minutes long |

06 Jun 2018: Seether/"Holding Onto Strings Better Left to Fray" (2011) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/06/bad-album-name.html
if you are a fan of modern generic hard rock, this is one of the better albums to listen to |

the final suite would be better if they cut out the last three parts |
