finishing a discography that should have been finished long ago
love is blind goes on for a bit too long the rerecording of too many tears is inferior to the restless heart version
ending on the worst track was an interesting decision two of the bonus tracks are nice though all the time in the world just goes on and on and fucking stop already |

the robotic voice effects on the first track are kind of silly and out of place i don't think that song could be any more annoying if it tried |

| 12 Nov 2016: Elvis Presley/"Girl Happy" (1965) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2008/11/so-many-girls.html
a lot of these songs just wouldn't work without elvis's raw charisma they talk about people who can "sing the phonebook", but they're wrong about who can do it it's not about your range or whatever the fuck; it's about CHARISMA elvis had this intangible quality where you just like to hear him sing; he's not the rangiest motherfucker on the planet like freddie mercury or whoever, but he's the king of rock and roll for a reason
all that said, this isn't the best collection of songs elvis has ever had to work with he makes it work better than anyone else could, but it's still not "wow you HAVE to hear this" it's just nice
the last track is very good though
also the sound quality on the version i'm listening to is suspect |

might as well just finish the discography right away, since there are only two albums
the cover of suspicious minds is pretty neat |
