Wolf Alice are good but again I'm amazed to see this random British band show up in the game.

Aside from the fret buttons, it looks just like the GHWT/SNAE "definitely not a Stratocaster" guitar.

If this guitar had the standard green, red, yellow, blue, what will you do orange button layout, I'd use the fuck out of it.

i'm interested how the 3x2 button layout will work as opposed to 5x1. Personally I'd take the latter, it might be because that's the established way for these games but I can't deny that using the length of the neck rather than the width strikes me as the more immersive way of doing things. 

honestly, if they wanted to do the "two rows of buttons" thing, they should have just gone the whole hog and had 10 rather than 6.

I agree, or four buttons at the very least.

The new layout will, of course, require a different mindset and learning and whatever, but that's why difficulty modes exist. I was very satisfied and happy when I was finally able to use my pinky, and then when I was finally able to keep track of where my hand was on the neck.

how is the actual interface going to look on the screen?
With five buttons in a line on the neck, it made sense putting the five buttons in a row on the screen. with two rows of 3, there's hardly an intuitive way to display that. I tried searching for an image, but it looks like it's just three buttons now? that sounds really wonky

There are three rows. If you have to press the top button, the note on-screen will be black. If you have to press the bottom button, the note on-screen will be white. If you have to press both, the note on-screen will be half black and half white.
