Stand in the Sun steals the riff of Immigrant Song. Like, really? Fucking Immigrant Song? You can't just steal something like that.
The album could definitely have done with being half as long. |

12 Oct 2015: Sum 41/"Chuck" (2004) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/05/dead-by-rising-stars.html
No Reason is probably the best Sum 41 song. It was in NFL Street 2, which is totally a game I own. The Bitter End has a guitar solo! A guitar solo! That's, like, something that doesn't even HAPPEN in punk rock usually Why the absolute fucking Christ wasn't The Bitter End in a GH/RB game?
By far the best Sum 41 album, even if that is an easy as fuck feat to accomplish. I'm actually kind of glad I reviewed this one, especially since I almost reviewed Does This Look Infected? instead. wait apparently it's only the second one i've reviewed whoops |

| 12 Oct 2015: Godsmack/"The Oracle" (2010) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/05/shirt-by-pants.html
On the first track, you can tell that Mr. Smack is trying really hard to be James Hetfield with his delivery. This is nothing new, really.
Love/Hate/Sex/Pain is still getting airplay on my local rock station five years later, so I guess that's an accomplishment. I don't think any Nickelback song lasted that long, not even the "oh God not again make it stop" hit, Rock Star. I really don't see the appeal of L/H/S/P. Even if it was a terrible song, Rock Star getting huge made sense. L/H/S/P is just boring, like pretty much all of Godsmack's music.
I almost thought tracks seven and eight were the same song, with a slight false ending. Glad I double-checked. Coincidentally, they are the two best songs on the album. Also I've decided on a new rating If a song is better than all the other "great"s but not good enough to be "fantastic" it will be "great+" (a lot like "good?" is a worse "good") thanks for |

Aside from the title track, every song here sounds exactly the same. It's kind of a slog, but a mercifully short one. |

more instrumental surf rock just what i wanted
The title track is pretty famous and shit. Why would they cover Green Onions? They completely ruined it.
I hate the sounds of their brass section. Surfer Joe makes me understand why every other song in instrumental.
AND IT OF COURSE ENDS WITH A COVER OF WALK, DON'T RUN |

| 14 Oct 2015: Hall and Oates/"Voices" (1980) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/05/hats-by-shoe.html
Got a Lot of Nerve is absolutely terrible. Also, "gotta" means "got to" not "got a", so fuck you. It's the same shit as "wanna" meaning "want to" and not "want a". Anyone who uses these terms to mean the incorrect thing needs to go back to school thanks "Lotta" is technically correct in the context used, but my spellcheck doesn't like it so
You Make My Dreams is the best Hall and Oates song, bar none. Kiss on My List is pretty good; everything else is filler.
HALL AND OATES TOP FIVE: 1: You Make My Dreams 2: Maneater 3: Out of Touch 4: Rich Girl 5: WHO GIVES A SHIT |

The real question: what is the best song that may as well have been by Hall & Oates because they sound just like any other Hall & Oates 70s soft rock tune?
it's a tough decision between Dancing In The Moonlight and Baby Come Back
(actually not that tough it's dancing in the moonlight by miles) |

They got my hopes up, then proceeded to crush them under a thousand pounds of grade-A filler. It picks back up toward the end, but the entire middle section of the album is bad. |

Another Sublime album that is too long and filled with shit no one wants to listen to! Rather than using the talent they show on such amazing tracks as What I Got, Santeria, All You Need, and Seed, they just make stupid bullshit! The album has twenty-three tracks for no reason!
one of the tracks is called "ebin" though which i find amusing |

YES JUST WHAT I ALWAYS WANTED
creed would be a great band if you replaced all their members, the songwriter, their name, and the genre of their music shame about how much of a missed opportunity this was
as a side note i actually love the album cover it's so bad that i love it
SERIOUSLY THOUGH Creed are the eternal butt of the joke; the Nickelback of the '90s. Aside from their biggest hits (WITH ARMS WIDE OPEN and Rock Star), they're fine. Generic as fuck, uninteresting most of the time, but fine.
With Arms Wide Open can go FUCK itself, though. i will admit that i like the little "doodle-doodle-doodle-doo" in higher however
the last track has a pretty funny bad noodly guitar solo though
despite everything i said this album is a 1/5 because it's kind of bad |

17 Oct 2015: Autograph/"Sign in Please" (1984) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/05/up-by-men-of-greatitude.html
With every trend, you will have bands that exist only to profit from it. Among others, the '80s had Autograph. They had a pretty big hit with Turn Up the Radio, but whatever. It's so generic and uninspired. I hate music about music. Everyone knows the superior glam metal one-hit wonder was Warrant.
GLAM METAL ONE-HIT WONDER POWER RANKINGS: 1: Warrant POWER GAP 2: Loverboy 3: Survivor POWER GAP 4: Great White 5: Ratt POWER GAP ... ... ... 9,001: Autograph
bands that are NOT one-hit wonders so don't comment with them: Twisted Sister (I Wanna Rock, We're Not Gonna Take It) Winger (Seventeen, Headed for a Heartbreak) Skid Row (18 and Life, I Remember You, Youth Gone Wild) Night Ranger (Sister Christian, You Can Still Rock in America) Limozeen (Because, It's Midnite, Feed the Childrens, We Don't Really Even Care About You, etc.)
There are basically two songs of "interest" on this album. Interest in quotes, because it's just something to write about while being bored to tears. 1: Track 6 is about being cucked. 2: Track 8 is called Friday. Despite being a bland filler track on an album chock-full of them, it's probably my favourite song on the album for the sheer fact that it reminded me of Rebecca Black. I miss her. R.I.P. Friday was four years ago, by the way. 2011 was fucking amazing for the pop musics. Friday, Somebody That I Used to Know, Call Me Maybe; all classics.
All I'm Gonna Take is probably the best song on the album, if we're not basing our favourites on nostalgia for 2011, though. |

GREYMANE OR BATTLEBORN
I've actually had this on my main list of albums to review for three years. Thank you, Rocksmith, for forcing me to do it. This is legitimately the band's best album. I don't know why it's called Battleborn if it's all slow songs, though. The name just made me think the album would go the other way. It sounds like the name of a modern metal album, to be honest. Something someone like Volbeat or Five-Finger Death Punch would put out. I don't know. |

This album has two reasonably big songs in the title track and Learning to Fly. They're not Petty's biggest hits, but they're certainly songs we'd all know. Learning to Fly was the one that was Rocksmith DLC, for the record. |

I chose this one over the other ones because it only has five songs. Mercy for once, I suppose. There's also a bonus track called Four Words, but that's one word too few for me if you know what I mean so I'm just going to skip it
This band, as we all know, is from Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr, my favourite place. I'd rate it an 8.5/10. This EP was pretty good until the last two tracks, when it dropped to mediocre. |
