SURELY you've reviewed All Things Must Pass? Or do you ignore the jam album as much as everyone else? |

| 15 Nov 2015: Ace Frehley/"Space Invader" (2014) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2015/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-danger-by.html
This is the only Ace Frehley album I haven't reviewed, so let's just get it out of the way now.
Generic and uninspired. Ace's vocals are the worst part of this album, if I'm being honest. He should have stayed with KISS.
There is a cover of The Joker here. It's an abomination. Ace doesn't curl the R in Maurice, and his guitar doesn't do the sexy whistle. It's fucking bullshit is what it is. |

| 16 Nov 2015: DragonForce/"Maximum Overload" (2014) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2015/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-gas-mask-by.html The latest DragonForce album, and the second with the new guy. Whatshisface. I don't know if I said this last time, but the new guy sounds really generic. ZP had a lot more charisma. DRAGONFORCE ALBUMS TIER LIST: great tier: Inhuman Rampage good tier: Sonic Firestorm Ultra Beatdown The Power Within okay tier: Valley of the Damned mediocre tier: Maximum Overload Maximum Overload goes down a tier for that bafflingly awful cover of Ring of Fire. also if you haven't already i recommend re-reading branfic it's pretty good re-hearing branfic 2 was a mixed experience the first two parts were absolute 10/10s but the last one was probably the worst thing ever branfics aren't allowed to have good endings i suppose still pretty happy about the chinese bootleg version of branfic, though |

The Offspring are one of those bands where I've somehow already reviewed most of their albums, so I might as well finish the job. |

This is the only Wolfmother album I haven't reviewed, so fuck it.
Tall Ships is just okay, until the ending when it becomes horrible. Same with Tangerine Dream. |

| 17 Nov 2015: Black Label Society/"Mafia" (2005) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/04/gravity-by-gravity.html
I should have done this one when I was doing the GH1, since it contains Fire it Up, which was a bonus track in that game. Oh well.
Dr. Octavia is Zakk Wylde's Eruption. It's about a minute shorter than Eruption, and actually pretty neat. Highlight of the album for sure, even if that's not saying much.
This album has no business being fourteen tracks long. Artists like this NEED to learn self-control. You obviously don't have enough material to make a fourteen-track album, so don't even try. If it were eight-to-ten tracks, its rating would be a bit higher. Cut out tracks 2, 4, 5, 6, and 7. All of a sudden, the album's much, much better. |

r.i.p. france
Why did they name the album after a filler instrumental? Probably the epitome of filler instrumentals. OH WAIT NEVERMIND HERE ARE THE VOCALS FIVE MINUTES IN THAT MAKES IT EVEN WORSE |

| 19 Nov 2015: Journey/"Next" (1977) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2015/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-yearly.html
This was the last Journey album before Steve Perry came in and did his thing. The very next album would feature the hits Lights and Wheel in the Sky.
Getting Steve Perry was probably a good move, as they were completely out of ideas on their own. |

| 19 Nov 2015: Badlands/"Badlands" (1989) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/04/eifion-i-need-help-by.html
This is what Jake E. Lee did after leaving Ozzy, and what Ray Gillen did after leaving Black Sabbath, as well as what Eric Singer did before joining KISS.
If you're looking for a no-frills hard rock album, I recommend this one. If you're into frills, however, this probably won't interest you. |

U2's first album. The first track from this one was in Rock Band 4.
Humble beginnings, I suppose. This album is completely unremarkable. |

| 20 Nov 2015: The Stone Roses/"Turns into Stone" (1992) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/04/ring-of-mood-by-pastel.html
A collection of the band's non-album singles and b-sides from between the debut and Second Coming. This band's version of Past Masters, Incesticide, The Masterplan, etc. Because of this, it's more like their first album than their second. I need to give the debut another listen sometime.
The single edit of Fools Gold is much better, I'd say. The song doesn't really need to be ten minutes long. The last couple of tracks are also bloated. The album begins stronger than it ends, which is a shame. |

The worst Dinosaur Jr. album by A LOT. |
