BONUS REVIEW: "Twenty" by Lynyrd Skynyrd http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/11/last-day-until-march-by-wow.html This album marks twenty years since the plane crash, and also twenty years since the band's best album. Every song on this album sounds about the same. That's not exactly a bad thing, since the songs are pretty good. This is certainly the best album this line-up's done. In fact, it's much better than I would have ever expected. And ending with the two worst songs is a classy move.

09 Nov 2012: "I'm with You" by Red Hot Chili Peppers Everyone says this album is pretty bad. I decided to see for myself. WHY WOULD YOU PIRATE MUSIC WHEN YOU HAVE SPOTIFY GUYS WE WILL HAVE AN AD EVERY TEN MINUTES TO THIS EFFECT I'd hate these ads less if they weren't for the thing I'm doing. It's like YouTube having ads saying "YOUTUBE IS THE COOLEST VIDEO SITE GUYS". But this album was okay. Not as bad as people say, but not great either.

BONUS REVIEW: "Dog and Butterfly" by Heart http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/11/pick-by-men-as.html This album has Straight On, which was in GTA IV. If there's one good thing about GTA IV, it's the soundtrack. This album does something a lot of records seemed to do; one side is ballads and the other is just rock music. I guess it works. This album is about average for a Heart album. This album This album This album

BONUS REVIEW: "Time and a Word" by Yes http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/11/today-is-by-and-then-we.html The album cover features breasts, which is good for my teenage hormones. My penis is engorged. Unfortunately, every song past the first makes my penis deflate.

12 Nov 2012: "Black and Blue" by The Rolling Stones The Rolling Stones once again demonstrate their amazing inability to make an album. However, this album is special. The Rolling Stones decided that they didn't even need a single good song. Well, Crazy Mama's okay.

| 13 Nov 2012: "You Can Tune a Piano but You Can't Tuna Fish" by REO Speedwagon Roll with the Changes opens this album. Everyone* says that REO Speedwagon were better in the 1970s before Take it on the Run and when they "sold out". I completely disagree. I'd listen to any '80s REO Speedwagon album** over this.

14 Nov 2012: "¡Dos!" by Green Day The band has stated that this album is completely different than ¡Uno!. It's supposed to be their take on garage rock. Then they go on to say it'll be like Foxboro Hot Tubs. Make up your mind But, to the point, it is completely different than ¡Uno!. It sucks in a completely different direction. Night Life and Wild One are the two worst songs on the album. They both bore me and are way too long. Oh, and Wild One's length? 4:20. Fuck you. But, hey. At least it's not worse than ¡Uno!. But let's talk about the song "Fuck Time". This song alone guarantees that this album will not find it way into the hands of ten-year-olds (Green Day's primary audience), and proves that Billie Joe is still mentally ten years old. "Makeout Party" and a tribute to a dead druggie further confirm this. "No one really knows about your soul". I know all about her fucking soul. "hey i'm rich and famous TIME TO KILL MYSELF WITH DRUGS" As an aside: It may sound hypocritical to be critical of Amy Winehouse for dying of a drug overdose at 28 when my favourite musician is Kurt Cobain. Drug use is always stupid, but at least Kurty had an excuse. Scoliosis and shit.

BONUS REVIEW: "Fool for the City" by Foghat http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/11/give-me-by.html Being the only person in the world who hasn't heard the title track before today, I must say that it's super-great. Now let's talk about Slow Ride, the only Foghat song that exists. At a massive 8:15, Slow Ride must be a joke. There is no way that it isn't. The single edit is really annoying, at less than four minutes. The full version, however, is fucking torture. And the public that made it one of the most iconic rock songs? Fuck you. Now to actually listen to the song again. Okay, it's not that bad. Still pretty fucking overblown. Drive Me Home makes me think they were going for Elton? Maybe? Overall, though, this album's pretty good.

15 Nov 2012: "King Animal" by Soundgarden 2012 never stops This album's much better than I was expecting. Every song on it is better than Live to Rise, for one. Seriously, I hate when a band releases a single and it's the worst thing they've recorded since finishing the last album. It's a really weird choice. A bad choice, to be honest.

BONUS REVIEW: "Genesis" by Genesis http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/11/nowhere-to-go-by-aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.html Includes the classics songs I've heard before Mama and That's All. So, Phil Collins. I hear that people don't like him and what he did to Genesis or something? It's a shame because Mama is one of the best songs of the 1980s. And I've only heard it because of Grand Theft Auto IV. Should I feel bad for really liking this album? Like, I really enjoy this. A lot. Like, 4.5 enjoy it.

| 16 Nov 2012: "Rize of the Fenix" by Tenacious D Tenacious D prove that they are the most metal band in existence by introducing literal metal instruments. This album features some of the band's best songs, even if nothing comes close to the debut's masterpiece, City Hall. But I should mention that this isn't due to humour. The songs are good on their own merits, because I only laughed at 39. The not-song interludes aren't as good as the debut's, but they're still okay.
Now I just have to watch/listen to The Pick of Destiny.
also best song title of the year goes to 'they fucked our asses' |

BONUS REVIEW: "Back in '72" by Bob Seger http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/11/back-to-by-wow.html In my quest to review all the classic rock guys at least once, I have been brought here. Bob Seger doesn't know how to use female backing vocalists, as evidenced by Midnight Rider. I mean, seriously. What the fuck. "I like you, so I wrote you a song". That's great, Bob. That anonymous mixtape didn't work out? "I'm your stealer, come to steal your love". The word is "thief", Bob. Rosalie teaches us that Bob didn't learn from his mistakes on Midnight Rider. And, look, Bob. When Metallica can take your slow, vocal-heavy song and make it better, you're fucked. The magnitude of sheer fucking is tremendous. Every other track only has one fault: Bob Seger is singing.

17 Nov 2012: "Eric Clapton" by Eric Clapton This album's main problem is how phoned-in it sounds. This was released in the same year he released Layla, and it's pretty disappointing when you place it next to Layla. But I guess I can't fault it too much for that. Layla was a fucking masterpiece. This album is good. No more, no less. There's some nice filler, too.

BONUS REVIEW: "Audioslave" by Audioslave http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/11/reach-out-for-switch-harder-by-men-of.html For all intents and purposes, I should like Audioslave. I like Soundgarden, and I like Rage Against the Machine. Just like I should like Velvet Revolver. I like Cochise. The GH1 cover doesn't really do justice to it. Not that it's amazing or anything, but it's much better than Wavegroup would lead you to believe. But the rest of the album is just okay. I don't have any strong feelings one way or the other.

18 Nov 2012: "Face Value" by Phil Collins This album has been in my "listen to eventually" list for forever, and since I liked Genesis' self-titled so much, I decided to go for it. This album begins with In the Air Tonight, which is another of the best songs of the 1980s. AND THE FIRST TIME I HEARD IT WAS IN GRAND THEFT AUTO: VICE CITY STORIES Hand in Hand is horrible and pretentious. Fuck it. This album's pretty good, but nothing special beyond In the Air Tonight. And I still hate Tomorrow Never Knows.

BONUS REVIEW: "Real to Reel" by Tesla http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2010/11/wallet-thirty-four-by-man-of-many.html In 2007, Tesla decided to make one of the best decisions a band that does not feature Ozzy Osbourne could make twenty years after their breakthrough; they made a cover album. This album features covers of such classics as Space Truckin', Bad Reputation, Thank You, I've Got a Feeling, and Rock Bottom. And, since I know someone would ask: Space Truckin' is nowhere near as good as the original, but it's still pretty good. Bad Reputation is nowhere near as good as the original, or even the Foo Fighters cover. It sounds kind of off. Thank You is (you guessed it) nowhere near as good as the original, but it's still pretty good. I've Got a Feeling is great. Sure, it's not as good as the original, but it's still super-great. Rock Bottom is nowhere near as good as the original, but it's still pretty good. Bellbottom Blues is nowhere near as good as the original, but it's still pretty good. My favourite songs on this album, aside from I've Got a Feeling, are songs I hadn't heard before. Tesla have delivered a satisfactory album.

19 Nov 2012: "The River" by Bruce Springsteen You know what a lot of double albums lack? Consistency. From amazing double albums like The White Album to mediocre double albums like Out of the Blue, the double albums I've listened to have been inconsistent as fuck. The River changes all that. No, it's not Springsteen's best album. No, it doesn't have many highlights. But it is consistently very good, if not great.
