Highlights: Home Sweet Home Lowlights: Save Our Souls, Fight for Your Rights In relation to other albums: Average! |

| 25 Jun 2012: "Raditude" by Weezer If someone were to ask me why I'm doing this, I wouldn't be able to come up with an answer. Okay, I still really like I Want You To. Mr. Lil' Wayne is a horrible rapper, by the way. Love is the Answer is so pretentious, I can't even begin. I actually enjoyed this, for the most part. Shame Hurley was the worst thing. Highlights: I Want You To Lowlights: Love is the Answer, Can't Stop Partying In relation to other albums: Better than Make Believe, The Red Album, and Death to False Metal. |

| BONUS BONUS REVIEW: "Live at Donington" by Iron Maiden http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/07/i-sure-do-love-mages-they-are-super_09.html Fun fact: I couldn't find this album for weeks because I kept spelling "Donington" with four Ns. This is one show, unlike the last two albums. Bruce sounds super-tired on the first track! This is actually the last Iron Maiden album with Bruce Dickinson until 2000, meaning we won't be seeing him until September, unless I decide to do his solo albums. I am not doing his solo albums. This album's biggest flaw: Only one song from Somewhere in Time. The worst one. But it's still better than the last two. |

| 27 Jun 2012: "Contraband" by Velvet Revolver Welcome to the bottom of the barrel. Starting your first album with filler is a fucking amazing idea. Why didn't I think of that? Stone Temple Pilots are a great band. Guns N' Roses are a great band. Velvet Revolver are a shitty band. LOGIC Okay, Slither is still okay. |

Highlights: Way Away, Breathing, Believe Lowlights: Twenty-Three In relation to other albums: ANYTHING FOR AGNEW |

| 28 Jun 2012: "Transformer" by Lou Reed Going into this, I don't know much about Lou Reed at all. He did an album with Metallica that was shitty or something? Walk on the Wild Side is really slow-paced and that makes no sense. The album started off okay, but it gets really boring fast. It's probably the lack of emotion on every track, and the lethargy.
16 May 2015 EDIT: If I had reviewed this album today, I would have made a big fuss. Something like: Oh, fucking great. Look at this Walk on the Wild Side-ass bullshit. A song entirely about a man pretending to be a woman and trying to trick people into having sex with him. HAHA SO PROGRESSIVE No, fuck you. I listen to music to escape the fucking stupid bullshit topic of the day; the new thing that it's suddenly A-OKAY to be. I don't want to think about Bruce-ass Jenner and his Goddamn MOTHERFUCKING bullshit-ass motherfucking piece of shit-ass bullshit, or any of those other men who want to be special snowflakes.
Isn't the entire point of doing the whole transsexual thing to become the other gender? Why do you want to do it halfway? Why do you want to be some goddamn motherfucking freak of Goddamn nature? Science HAS gone too far. If it has a penis, it is a man. No amount of makeup or "SOCIAL ACCEPTANCE" can change that. Fuck you. FUCK. YOU.
If you're a man, and you want to become a woman, whatever. What the fuck ever. But fucking DON'T keep your penis and be all fucking PROUD of being a tranny. You DON'T get to be a special third gender because you have brain problems. There are TWO genders. You are ONE OR THE FUCKING OTHER. Don't fucking come at me with that FUCKING GARBAGE-ASS "NON-GENDER BINARY" BULLSHIT. IT IS A FUCKING FACT THAT THERE ARE TWO GENDERS, AND ONLY FUCKING TWO GENDERS. GENDER IS NOT A SPECTRUM. GENDER IS NOT YOUR "FEELINGS". UNLESS YOU WERE BORN A HERMAPHRODITE, YOU ARE EITHER A MAN, OR YOU ARE A WOMAN.
The internet has allowed so many like-minded people to get together and convince themselves (and OTHERS) of their fucking stupid bullshit. Mental disorders are spreading like plague, and it's considered "fine" and even "normal". Fuck you. Fuck you and your Goddamn motherfucking bullshit-ass motherfucking BULLSHIT. |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Inside-In/Inside-Out" by The Kooks http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/06/i-must-object-mages-are-super-great-by.html As a side-note, today is the day that the bonus reviews match up with the regular ones. This not-review that I'm making into a review was posted exactly one year ago today. /mu/ lists have also pointed to this thing. They had a song in LEGO Rock Band or something, so. I forgot how ridiculously British this guy is. Annoyingly British? Maybe. Oh, it's not so bad on other songs. That's good. This album was good. |

| 02 Jul 2012: "The Black Album" by Metallica This album starts with the timeless trainwreck, Enter Sandman. Luckily, it's followed by Sad but True, which makes you think this experience might not be so bad. Holier Than Thou is also pretty good. Then The Unforgiven happens. I've heard this song a million times without even trying. The good news? It's not horrible. The bad news? It's just okay, I guess? Don't Tread on Me. GET IT BECAUSE THERE'S A SNAKE ON THE COVER Nothing Else Matters is rather shitty as always. Metallica must really love that riff in The God That Failed. I think this marks the twentieth time they've used it. I'm torn here. I want to give it a really bad score to be cool, but only two of the songs are bad. Granted, one is a black hole of pretentiousness, loathing, and popularity, but Sad but True is totally on this album. That's gotta count for something. Highlights: Sad but True Lowlights: Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters In relation to other albums: Not as good as Master of Puppets, Ride the Lightning, or Kill 'em All. It's totally better than ... and Justice for All, though. This tour through Metallica's discography has been unsettling at best. |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Risk" by Megadeth http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/06/mages-are-super-cunts-by-templars.html I've been putting this off, but it's time. The first track is Insomnia. I don't know what to make of it. If I gave you the instrumental track of I'll be There, the lyrics, and the title, you would never guess it's a Megadeth song. The instrumentation on this album is less Megadeth overall and more "generic rock band". |

| 03 Jul 2012: "The X Factor" by Iron Maiden This is the first Iron Maiden album with Blaze Bayley. I have never heard any of his songs before. The entire first three minutes of Sign of the Cross are boring and useless. You know what this album sounds like? A band that really wants to be Iron Maiden. There's nothing wrong with this album; it's just incredibly average in every sense of the word. |

| BONUS REVIEW: "The Who Sell Out" by The Who http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/06/why-are-mages-so-fucking-awesome-by-why.html I get what they were trying to do here. It's supposed to be funny. It's supposed to be edgy. But it's not a good album. It's also not funny, as a side note. Its edginess is up for debate. Aside from I Can See for Miles, the album's a mess. Pass. Why do I even try? The Who can't produce a good album. My Generation was a fluke. The Who are content to write a good song or two, then record whatever and call it an album. Seriously, FUCK The Who. |

| 04 Jul 2012: "No Rest for the Wicked" by Ozzy Osbourne This is the first of Ozzy's albums to feature Zakk Wylde. Oh boy. Before today, I'd only heard the first track, Miracle Man. It's pretty good. The second track has cat noises, which do not appeal to me. Demon Alcohol features an EFFECT on Ozzy's voice, which reminds me of SHACKLER'S REVENGE. Goddammit Ozzy, going back in time and ripping off Axl Rose. Hero is the best song on the album, by the way. Overall, this album is kind of disappointing, but it's still pretty good. |

| 05 Jul 2012: "Automatic for the People" by R.E.M. After the mediocrity of Green and Out of Time, R.E.M. came back with a very good album. It's far from their best, but it's still worth listening to, I'd say. Highlights: Everybody Hurts Lowlights: New Orleans Instrumental In relation to other albums: Better than Murmur, Reckoning, Collapse into Now, Green, and Out of Time; worse than else. |

| BONUS REVIEW: "Kansas" by Kansas http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/06/if-mages-were-any-more-super-great.html I decided to double back really quickly and do Kansas' first two albums before going any further with them. This album isn't as ambitious or, well, Kansas-y as the other three I've reviewed. It's still a very good album, however. |
