| 04 Apr 2015: DLC MORE WEEK EIGHTY-EIGHT SHENANIGANS
04 Apr 2015: The Who/"Live at Leeds" (1970) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2014/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-sanity-by-sane.html
Man, I am so glad the original version of this album excluded well over half the show. I really didn't want to sit through Tommy again. Why the fuck is that See Me Feel Me shit invading fucking My Generation? The Rock Band edit of My Generation was a 10/10, but this shit is just insulting. Of course, the last minute-and-a-half is brilliant. That riff is absolutely amazing.
Fuck The Who. They're talented musicians, and have some absolutely brilliant songs and musical moments. But they just bury them in their stupid fucking half-baked ideas, or worse, ideas that are absolutely burnt, and leave us to sift through the absolute GARBAGE to get to anything remotely good. FUCK The Who. |

| 05 Apr 2015: DLC I was a bit wrong about the dates, so I'll retell that story here: Week eighty-eight's singles were The Band, The Who, Jefferson Airplane, and Janis Joplin. Week eighty-nine's singles were Blind Melon, Blur, Dropkick Murphys, Eve 6, and Kaiser Chiefs. Plus, there was a three-pack from Foo Fighters. Anyway:
Week ninety featured singles from Billy Idol (done), JET (done), Tom Petty (done), and Stevie Nicks-ass Fleetwood Mac (no). Week ninety-one featured singles from Avenged Sevenfold (done), today's first review, Oasis (done), and Rage Against the Machine (done). There was also a five-pack from the Talking Heads (no).
Week ninety-two had a "literally who" pack (no), a Freezepop pack (they don't exist according to the internet), and the beginning of the Rock Band Unplugged singles. In 2009, Harmonix released a PSP version of Rock Band. I never played it. It had mostly RB2 retreads, but it also had some new songs that became regular DLC later on. In week ninety-two, we got today's second review, AFI (done), Audioslave (done), and tomorrow's first review.

Kryptonite is one of those songs that I've heard a million times without even trying. Unlike most songs of this nature, it's pretty good actually please don't hurt me |

Almost Ready kicks the album right the fuck off with exactly what I want: a memory of that absolutely orgasmic speed-up from Feel the Pain. This isn't my hyperbole at work, it just SO FUCKING GOOD |

| 07 Apr 2015: DLC Week ninety-four saw the release of Pearl Jam's then-new album Backspacer (done). Since the release of the actual album and the Rock Band version were done at the same exact time, Backspacer was released two days earlier than normal. Week ninety-five featured a five-pack from Alice in Chains (done), three singles from "literally who"s (no), and today's second review.
07 Apr 2015: The Guess Who/"Canned Wheat" (1969) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2014/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-good-album-by.html
Undone should have ended thirty seconds sooner. That acoustic guitar outro adds absolutely nothing to the song, and lessens the impact of the final line. Key is absolutely ruined by the drum solo. Just, why? It would have been a great song at three or four minutes. At eleven, it's absolute garbage. |

It's better than that Hinder album I reviewed, at least. I probably couldn't tell them apart if you asked me, though. |

| 08 Apr 2015: DLC Week ninety-six featured packs from The Raconteurs (done) and Electric Six (not on your life), plus singles from Atlantis Morrisette (done), and something called "Flobots" (no). Week ninety-seven featured a pack of songs from Brutal Legend, including Motorhead (done), Tenacious D (done), and today's first review. Notably, Megadeth's High-Speed Dirt was missing. There was also a shitload of singles from Blink-182 (done), Black Tide (no), Satch (done), L-7 (never in a million years), and today's second review.
08 Apr 2015: Testament/"The Formation of Damnation" (2008) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2014/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-legs-by-bombs.html
If I had done the Brutal Legend cross-promotional pack, I would have gone in hard as a motherfucker: Black Sabbath/"Symptom of the Universe" Def Leppard/"Rock of Ages" Diamond Head/"Am I Evil?" DragonForce/"Through the Fire and the Flames" Megadeth/"High-Speed Dirt" Motorhead/"We are the Road Crew" Motley Crue/"Live Wire" Ozzy Osbourne/"Mr. Crowley" Racer X/"Technical Difficulties" Saxon/"Wheels of Steel" Scorpions/"Blackout" Skid Row/"Youth Gone Wild" Testament/"More Than Meets the Eye" UFO/"Rock Bottom" Whitesnake/"Still of the Night" |

| 08 Apr 2015: Kansas/"Two for the Show" (1978) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2014/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-diamonds-by.html
This live album was released just after their last 10/10 album, Point of Know Return. The question is is this the last album of the golden age of Kansas, or the first album of the whatever age of Kansas?
Biggest flaw: No Child of Innocence I mean WHAT WERE THEY THINKING WHEN THEY COMPILED THIS LIVE ALBUM (it was definitely played at the show since it's on the thirtieth anniversary edition) They didn't do the Carry on Wayward Son vocal intro. Can't say I miss it.
Dust in the Wind has a nice piss break filler solo, as does the song after it. Glad we got these wonderfully boring moments over an actual song. |

11 Apr 2015: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers/"Hard Promises" (1981) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2014/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-nothing-by-huh.html
This was the first of two six-packs meant to promote the band's newest live album. When the tracks that were put into Rock Band are live tracks, I give myself two options, listed in their preferred order: 1: Review the studio album the track was originally on 2: Review the live album the track was actually on 2.5: Review one of the Alive!s because I don't fucking know which one they used
Since I've still got a lot of Tom Petty albums to get through, I chose option one this time.
>Stevie Nicks guest appearance This is why God invented the skip button. |

I think that Paul Simon going solo was the best decision he could have made. I really don't like how their voices sound together. This album is actually pretty good in spite of that, surprisingly. |

FULL DISCLOSURE: When I first heard the title track, I was convinced it was AC/DC. Brian-ass Johnson bullshit. I like it a lot more than I used to, mostly because of talkbox.
