| 23 Mar 2015: DLC Week seventy-two was Guns N' Roses's Chinese Democracy (done). I don't think I need to say any more about that one. Week seventy-three was a seven-pack of Styx, REO Speedwagon, and Styx and REO Speedwagon (done), plus another "literally who" pack (no). Week seventy-four was Jane's Addiction's Nothing's Shocking (done). Three "'s" words in a row there.
Week seventy-five was a three-pack from Franz Ferdinand (done), today's first review, today's second review, tomorrow's first review, some "literally who" bullshit (no), and some metal band called "Prong" (haha no).
23 Mar 2015: Alien Ant Farm/"Anthology" (2001) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2014/10/julio-and-case-of-missing-ghoulio-by.html
More filler than I thought humanly possible. |

A thirty-minute jam?! Is this real life or am I in hell?! This is why God invented the skip button. Why is Les Brers in a minor and why haven't they called the police?
Melissa is basically a shit version of Jessica with lyrics. Looking at the tracklisting tells you the band ran out of ideas partway through. Listening to the album tells you they never really had any to begin with. |

The '90s was the best decade to break through in the music industry if you were a woman who couldn't sing. Maybe that's harsh. Maybe she can sing, but just chooses to sound like a dying cat. It's entirely possible. |

| 27 Mar 2015: Coheed and Cambria/"Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow" (2007) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2014/10/julio-and-case-of-missing-modren-man-by.html
This is Coheed and Cambria's fourth album, which is the second half of the fourth part of their four-part/five-album rock opera. To break it down: I: Year of the Black Rainbow (2010) II: The Second Stage Turbine Blade (2002) III: In Keeping the Secrets of Silent Earth (2003) IV.1: Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume One: From Fear Through the Eyes of Madness (2005) IV.2: Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume Two: No World for Tomorrow (2007)
The first part was released last, as you generally do with sagas. The two albums after that are not a continuation of the storyline of the first five albums, but they do follow after them chronologically.
I wish I were joking about all of this, I really do.
Despite how grand the story should be, the actual music here can only be described as "bland". |

| 28 Mar 2015: DLC Week eighty had a huge pack from Iron Maiden (done). Week eighty-one was two packs, one from Spinal Tap (done), and one from Evanescence (no). Week eight-two had a big "Warped Tour" pack, complete with songs from two "literally who"s (no), Bad Religion (done), and today's first review. There was also a Maroon 5 pack (done), and today's second review.

The epitome of needing literally anyone else on the microphone. It's not just the screaming, it's his weirdly atonal upper register. If I didn't know any better, I'd call that a wail of pain. |

A live show from 1992. Since all the band had released at that time was Ten, nine out of the ten tracks here are from Ten. Oceans, Release, Master/Slave, and their cover of I've Got a Feeling are missing. I would have swapped Jeremy out for Oceans, but that's just me. The tenth song is State of Love and Trust, from a film soundtrack.
I don't like what they did to Porch. |

Why does this band think twenty-song albums are a good idea? Especially when all twenty songs are uninspired and lethargic. |

| 01 Apr 2015: "Tomorrow Never Knows" by The Beatles
This compilation came out in 2012, and was selected by the rock stars of TODAY to show how The Beatles influenced them or some shit. It's mostly fine; the only truly "what" choice being You Can't do That. I'm pleased that they used the superior Naked version of I've Got a Feeling. The title track is still garbage, and using The End without the rest of the medley is retarded. |

| I've decided to quit the whole "Rock Band setlists" thing, and am now going to focus my efforts entirely on 2013/2014/2015 releases. Tomorrow, we might do Meghan Trainor's album, Title, but for today, we will do something a bit more in-line with my reviews of old.
01 Apr 2015: Noel Gallagher's High-Flying Birds/"Chasing Yesterday" (2015) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2015/02/julio-and-case-of-missing-friends-by.html
Slightly disappointing after the debut, but it's MUCH better than Songs from the Great White North. |

After eight whole years without a full album, the band is back. Way to strike while the iron's hot, boys. Then again, if it took them that long to make THIS, then maybe it's good that they struck while the iron was cold and dusty in storage.
Join us tomorrow for Meghan Trainor's Title, and Taylor Swift's Red. aprel foles |

YES MORE OF THIS GARBAGE Why didn't they just release one big Blink-182 pack instead of around fifty small ones? You might think I've reviewed a lot of Blink-182 albums, but I've got two more scheduled. Even then, I'll have three left lurking in the discography.
It's better than the other two, thankfully. |

I have no idea what album the live KISS tracks were from, but I chose this one. the joke here is that none of the dlc tracks are actually on this album
It's really weird how much filler this album has. I mean, live shows are supposed to contain your best tracks, but this one ignores just about the entire debut, and includes weird shit like King of the Nighttime World, Ladies' Room, and Christine Sixteen. What? That must suck to have been at this show and have been forced to sit through album filler when they're just holding back tracks like Strutter, 100,000 Years, and even fucking Rock and Roll All Night.
There are also five exclusive studio tracks. Generic as shit. |

Week eighty-eight had a three-pack from the Gorillaz (NO), and a bunch of singles, including Blur and Dropkick Murphys (not today, but definitely later), Blind Melon, Kaiser Chiefs, and Jefferson Airplane (done all three), Janis Joplin (never ever), and today's second review, and both of tomorrow's reviews.
03 Apr 2015: Spinal Tap/"Back from the Dead" (2009) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2014/11/julio-and-case-of-missing-garbage-by.html
This is a full-length album consisting of five new songs, and fourteen rerecordings. The vast majority of this made it into Rock Band in some form or another. I wasn't going to do this originally, but what's the harm?
I don't get why they rerecorded pretty much the entire debut. I definitely understand for Funky Sex Farm and the reggae version of Listen to the Flower People, since they're pretty drastically different than the originals, but the rest are just kind of like "okay, yeah, I remember this from twenty years ago". The Jazz Odysseys are just filler. |
