well they definitely made it more 80s but not in a cool way
basically, they sucked the soul out of it
if they took this slightly altered melody and made a new song out of it, it would have been good
but it's just nowhere near as good as the original

it's one of those live albums that won't really knock your socks off
it's got some interesting covers on paper (sgt. pepper's lonely hearts club band, like a rolling stone), but the guitar-playing is muddy in the mix, which is at least half the point of listening to hendrix
disappointing really
