man, remember rugrats in paris?
as a kid, i didn't understand how television worked at all
i didn't get that dil and kimmy were the classic "we're out of ideas LET'S HAVE A BABY" that i would later attribute to the death of the fairly odd parents
(that show's still going on, though; they've had a baby, gotten a dog, and now they have an annoying girl neighbour kid who has to share timmy's fairies because)

but man rugrats in paris was fucking sweet
i mean i barely remember it
i've seen the original rugrats movie way more recently
but i remember liking rugrats in paris more

to the album:
i put this one off until last, and wrote that rugrats in paris shit because i thought it wouldn't be very good
the title came off as pretentious
titles can be deceiving, i suppose, because this is sweet's best album by far

i still absolutely loathe hidden tracks though
(the saving grace of that one time nirvana did it is that something in the way is extremely mediocre and endless, nameless isn't something i'd listen to on a regular basis)
(gallons of rubbing alcohol flow through the strip isn't even on my copy on in utero)

2015's better nature kind of sucked (though i don't remember it and am going based solely on my RYM score for it)
with a four-year gap, this is the longest it's taken a new album from them to come out, as all the others had three-year gaps
thankfully they took the extra year and made a good album this time
