since i did rumours i deserve to do something i want to do
glad i did the other one first because this album is nowhere near as good the cover of i will survive is 10/10 though i don't know how he does it; the vocals are very specifically placed, and it feels like he's stopping himself after certain words in order to "sing" them just a bit later, which gives the song a weird gait that just feels so right shame about the censorship on this particular version though |

12 Jun 2016: Four Non-Blondes/"Bigger, Better, Faster, More!" (1992) [Rock Band review #7] http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2016/06/julio-and-case-of-missing-truth-in.html
a ha ha ha ha ha ha ha oh boy awful in every sense of the word
1. who gave this bitch a microphone 2. who gave this bitch a record deal 3. who bought this shit 4. who decided it was a good idea to put this shit in rock band 4 5. what's going on 6. and i say hey yeah yeah 7. hey yeah yeah 8. i said hey 9. what's going on
it's amazing that they managed to follow up what's going on with an even WORSE song i think my right eardrum is about to burst and i'm listening to this pretty quietly
i will admit one thing about stevie nicks she is a better singer than THIS bitch
it's like she's trying to be meat loaf without understanding why meat loaf is good meat loaf chooses the proper moments to go over the top this bitch chooses all the moments this is, of course, disregarding the terrible voice and songwriting on display here
i feel like this album took twenty years off my life but i really don't think i had that long left to begin with so if i just like stop posting then this album has killed me
this album makes me wish i were listening to sleater-kinney
"YEAH YEAH, YEAH YEAH YEAH YEAH" IS NOT GOOD SONGWRITING IT SHOULDN'T EVEN QUALIFY AS SONGWRITING
real real talk: "yeah" and "oh no" and "aw yeah" and "oh yeah" and "oh-oh oh-oh-oh oh" and shit CAN'T BE THE MAIN HOOK OF YOUR SONG if you make a song with many many yeahs and oh oh ohs and whatever the fuck in place of a chorus KILL YOURSELF
it seems like every single fucking song on this piece of shit has a big "YEAH" or "YEAH YEAH" or "YEAH YEAH YEAH" as the fucking main point of the song
you know why she loves you worked? it was the first one the first time someone just said "yeah let's just make the chorus 'yeah yeah yeah'" it's not original any more it's tired it's annoying it's fucking stupid you're not the beatles please fuck off and stop polluting the world with your garbage
LIST OF SONGS THAT USE "YEAH", "OH NO", etc. CORRECTLY: Won't Get Fooled Again War Pigs I've Got a Feeling
LIST OF SONGS THAT USE "YEAH", "OH NO", etc. INCORRECTLY BUT ARE STILL GOOD: Under the Bridge |

let's wash down that shit with some good shit this is one of those live albums that's pulled from many different shows, this time between '77 and '78
the guitars on back in the saddle sound strange the way steven tyler's voice and the talkbox come together on this sweet emotion is not the best
did steven tyler just forget the opening lyrics to last child the more i think about it, the more i realise how great of a choice last child was for gh2 a+ harmonix last child is also a much shorter song than i remembered i thought it was like five minutes not three-and-a-half
there's a cover of a james brown song here it's complete filler |

| Well, now that you've done Rumours, you have no excuse not to do Tusk. It's a rite of passage (It's essentially a Buckingham showcase album with other stuff interspersed and all of Nicks' tunes are more ballad style songs a la Dreams)
For the most part I agree with your Rumours review. It's pretty overhyped, really, but it has a neat history. Second Hand News, You Make Loving Fun, The Chain, and Dreams are all great, everything else is pretty just alright. Gold Dust Woman is truly the most faulty song on the record. |

everyone loves "literally who"s right
the first track is really awful the vocals are just terrible in every way the last word of each line starts off in-key, then the guy's pitch and volume rise way too high and my ears can't take this shit
once again, harmonix have chosen a good song from a sea of shitty ones |

not the one with radioactive a really bad band that got really lucky with radioactive i bet my life is shit i don't give a fuck
track seven uses the line "you're stuck in the middle" at about the same cadence and rhythm as wanna be startin' something it bugged me for like ten minutes until i remembered that it was, in fact, wanna be startin' something |

the first track here feels like it could have been good it needed a harder edge a more crunchy guitar tone would have helped loads
story of the album actually singing about violent/death shit and whatever and the songs aren't hard enough to support that the final track is fine the way it is though
that attached five-song EP in the deluxe edition is nothing special (there is a reason these songs didn't make the album) |

the luckliest number you'll ever do this is one of those albums where every track has at least one guest musician the only two i've heard of are stevie wonder and bruno mars
the first track is just a waste of stevie wonder's talents really feel right is fun because you can tell mystikal totally believes everything he's saying about this motherfucker
uptown funk is one of those tracks that goes on for way too long it should have stopped before the "uptown funk you up" shit starts the entire ending section is unnecessary and shouldn't be there |

oh yay beginning your album with the most unenthusiastic song about asses ever is not a good idea
maybe if their singer cared anout any of the songs here at all ever, this wouldn't be terrible get a new singer one who wants to be here
this album is actually pretty insulting the fact that they don't respect potential album-buyers enough to put any effort at all into the hour of bullshit they prepared |

the ultimate "whatever" band they exist that's about all i have to say here
the epitome of merely existing
ditmas steals a vocal melody from bringing on the heartbreak (def leppard) i would not have caught that if i hadn't chosen tonight [last night] to review this album it is, however, the best song on the album |

20 Jun 2016: Scorpions/"Comeblack" (2011) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2016/06/julio-and-case-of-missing-proper.html
this album is just rerecordings and cover versions i wouldn't be surprised if we got a scorpions pack consisting entirely of rerecordings from this album rock you like a hurricane / blackout / still loving you sounds pretty logical to me (they'd probably just release hurricane and still loving you as singles to be honest)
beginning with rhythm of love over no one like you or rock you like a hurricane was an odd choice a bad one, really
klaus's upper register has kind of been lost over the years so songs like no one like you don't work as well as they used to the chorus in particular sounds really flat
every song seems to be in a lower key, which really hurts them i think except blackout good old blackout mainstay of my guitar hero and rock band lists for years
BUT THE REAL REASON TO LISTEN TO THIS ALBUM IS THE COVER VERSIONS
the cover of tainted love is a lot better than soft cell's i like it a lot the cover of children of the revolution is kind of neat; not as good as the original of course
this is the best version of across the universe i've ever heard by the way the only one i don't hate
i also like this all day and all of the night better than the original, and ruby tuesday as well the japanese edition bonus cover of shapes of things is also swell
the covers half of this album really improves the final product i'm glad it wasn't just rerecordings in fact, if it were just covers of the same quality as the ones here, i might even have given it a 5/5
IF HARMONIX CAN ONLY DRAW FROM THIS ALBUM, HERE IS MY IDEAL SCORPIONS PACK: Rock You Like a Hurricane Blackout Still Loving You Tainted Love Tin Soldier All Day and All of the Night |

the band's debut ep it's short but whatever
two of the songs would later be rerecorded for boy the other wouldn't
i figure it would make sense to do this one, as one of the u2 tracks from rb4 was on boy also i'm feeling lazy |

starting with rattlesnake was a terrible decision, as it is a terrible song birth in reverse made me kind of excited to review this one, but it seems to be an anomaly on this album, which is a shame
honestly though this is pretty neat; i'll probably review more albums by this woman |

after this, i will have officially reviewed all of the avenged sevenfold albums not sure if i'm proud of that
this was the band's first album, before the """classic""" line-up was together note the three sets of quotation marks
the first track is one of the best songs this band has ever put out, honest to god (and not just because it's also one of the shortest) early avenged sevenfold used those awful harsh screamy vocals in a lot of their songs say what you will about the band nowadays, but they've been much better from city of evil onward than they were originally, except for nightmare (which was just boring) |
