Ugh.

It's just like, what's the point?
Guitar Hero already had a Van Halen-centric game, and we've already gotten to play Panama. Not to mention the fact that Panama is their most boring song. It's exactly the type of thing Tony would call "regular rock" and call us no-taste faglords over.
Like, I get it, "wooh Van Halen", but fuck. There's really no ground they can cover that Guitar Hero didn't, since Hagar-era Van Halen might as well not exist. Being perfectly honest, I think it's a waste of a slot.
Someone will probably reply "but what about DLC", but that will just be "The Best of Guitar Hero: Van Halen" (minus all of the cool songs like Loss of Control and I'm the One; plus Tattoo due to being from THE NEW ALBUM). If we're lucky, we'll get the Van Halen I album, which will include, like, one song that wasn't in GHVH, On Fire.

You could say the same about Toys in the Attic, but GHAerosmith didn't have drums/vocals, so it gets a pass.

Didn't GH:VH get canned right before release, though? I didn't think it ever actually came out.

Still, for me it's more of a sign of what else we could get. Van Halen were one of the main GH exclusives. Wonder who else Harmonix have access too that they maybe didn't before.

Oh, apparently it was released, but work on it was supposedly abandoned before the game shipped? I dunno, I never played it so I wouldn't complain about Rock Band releasing a Van Halen megapack or two.
