the first track is some of the most pretentious filler i've ever heard but it has a nice guitar solo so that's something |

the first track starts off REALLY well this would have been better if they'd hacked off some of the tracks toward the end |

i got a new game with a licensed soundtrack and you know what that means
they try to be led zeppelin but make a stop along the way at wolfmother i'd rather listen to wolfmother like, wolfmother guy's voice is more pleasing to my ears than this guy track three's chorus is really annoying |

| After ten years or so, I've finally run out of excuses for keeping The Beatles as the first review of every month. 2018 was a send-off to those reviews, where I actually relistened to every one of their albums. So now I'm out of their albums, and I had to come up with something new. Rather than just posting the same shit over and over, I will find new shit to post over and over. I have 12 reviews lined up; one for the first of each month. I am going to re-listen to another band's discography, and see how it goes.
01 Jan 2019: Radiohead/"Pablo Honey" (1993) [revisited] http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2019/01/pablo-honey-revisited.html
note that, like radiohead's actual discography, these reviews will likely get more interesting as time passes
you is a strange opener; i guess it sets a tone but that's about it it's not one of the memorable songs on the album i mean, it's good but that's it
creep exists i don't know how it got so popular it's kind of boring STP did it better (also the she's running out the door part sucks)
how do you? is one of the few songs i remembered going in everyone likes a nice normal rock song every once in a while
stop whispering is the longest song on the album and i wish it would fuck off it's like a really bad oasis song like this could be on be here now and i wouldn't bat an eye
thinking about you is a nice little song anyone can play guitar is the best song on the album undeniably ripcord is another nice tune; same with vegetable and prove yourself and i can't lurgee exists blow out is a nice ending to the album; probably the most radiohead-like song on the album, even if that's not saying much of anything
pablo honey is a good album that gets too much shit because radiohead got so much better as they went on their discography wouldn't be the same without it; it's important to show where and how they started, and then the evolution as time goes on |

| 02 Jan 2019: The Wonder Years/"Sister Cities" (2018) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2019/01/minnesota.html
after that brief intermission, it's time for more videogames songs this singer's only mode is a whine on the title track, they actually try, which is nice |

| 03 Jan 2019: Bass Drum of Death/"GB City" (2011) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2019/01/gigabyte-city.html
this band had a song in forza horizon 4 from a more recent album, but i felt i should start earlier because i might actually like this band they're just okay at best bad at worst (which happens a lot) |
