| I was gone this weekend, but holy wow you reviewed Starsailor (the album)!?
tim buckley always was my favorite singer/web comic artist. Starsailor is probably his least accessible album, so good job on liking it (or so it seems). Jungle Fire is one of my fave songs of all time.
If you really liked it, I'd recommend you try some of his earlier albums like Goodbye and Hello and Happy Sad. |

| it was an experience i'll tell you that much i didn't really know what i was getting into so when i started it was just like "what in the world have i gotten myself into" but then by the end i kind of got into it i couldn't listen to it like in a shuffle playlist or something but i would imagine i'd try another at some point (not this month though there are rules and regulations about that sort of thing) |

| 01 May 2018: The Beatles/"Rubber Soul" (1965) [revisited] http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/05/rubber-soul-revisited.html
the album starts with drive my car, which has a neato riff and guitar solo (i'm not as big a fan of this one as i once was) norwegian wood features the band's best ever use of sitar; it really makes the song pop if you get what i mean
you won't see me is a nice song but it doesn't stand out at all i used to say that nowhere man is the lowpoint of the album, but it's actually pretty nice (great harmonies)
think for yourself is probably george's best song to date (as in through 1965); i like the guitar part a lot now, the word, there is a filler track if ever i've heard one
michelle is a 10/10 and i will fight anyone who says otherwise what goes on is probably ringo's worst album track; still pretty okay though
girl would not have worked if anyone other than john had sung it; i have never heard anyone cover this song and never want to i'm looking through you is one of those song i didn't like at first but i really like it now; especially the electric guitar bits
in my life i'd write more about it but that about sums it up
i tend to confuse wait and you won't see me; wait is the much better song john and paul overpower george on the harmonies of if i needed someone; not sure if i like that
run for your life is a great way to close the album; after songs of love, loving, and wistful nostalgia, it's time for a song about beating the shit out of that fucking whore (it's a song that could never be released in 2018 by a non-black man) |

starts out great but it kind of peters out in the middle |

the obvious draw here is the cover of bruce springsteen's blinded by the light legitimately one of the best covers in the history of music; it surpasses the original in every way
i don't know how you can go from THAT to fucking singing the dolphin through |

| 06 May 2018: The Soft Machine/"The Soft Machine" (1968) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/05/you-cannot-petition-machine-overlords.html
on the first track, one of the overlapping singers mumbles the words like he hasn't learned them yet nice chords at the end of it though
they reprise the first track for the third track; that is way too soon and should be illegal
the first track, in spite of everything i said, is the best and most interesting track here |
