With the upcoming release of The Wind Waker HD, it was only natural to reveal a The Legend of Zelda character. (i do so love to say "a the")
Unfortunately, it's one that severely gimps another cast member.

Ever since Melee, Link has been a slow, laggy-ass pizza. A PIZZA SHIT
This is due to the presence of a second, smaller, faster Link. In Melee, it was a young version of Link from Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. In Brawl, it was the cel-shaded version of Link from The Wind Waker, The Minish Cap, and countless other handheld titles.

Now, I get it. Link has gone through a lot of incarnations, and Toon Link is very important to the series. But fucking hell, Sakurai. At least give them unique movesets.
How about this:
Link retains his bow, gale boomerang, spin attack, and bombs. Toon Link gets Roc's Feather, pegasus boots, the skull hammer, and the mirror shield. This separates their movesets and gives them both uses. Unlike now, where Toon Link is the only decent one.

I still really want a Mario/Sanic crossover platform game. Miyamoto says their styles are "too different", but how about this:
Mario and Luigi do Mario Bros. shit in Sanic-themed levels that are actually tailored to their abilities. They'd be in a different area of famous Sanic levels, like Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, City Escape, Pumpkin Hill (complete with a new rap about fucking LUIGI), Seaside Hill, Rooftop Run, etc.
Sanic and Tails do Team Sanic shit in Mario-themed levels that are actually tailored to their abilities. They'd be in a different area of famous Mario levels, like world 1-1, Bowser's Castle, Whomp's Fortress, Bob-omb Battlefield, Delfino Plaza, Ricco Harbour, Good Egg Galaxy, etc.

This way, you could still play to the strengths of the different characters, while having them interact with eachother's enemies and worlds. Mario and Luigi can save Peach from Dr. Robotnik, and Sanic and Tails can save Amy or whoever from Bowser.

It took me a while to figure out what was going on in this picture.

Pit is slicing Samus's missile in half. This, of course, is exactly what Samus needed to not be shit.
If you don't believe me, here is what Sakurai himself says about the picture:
"Pic of the day. If it's just a missile, a sword can slice it right up. Of course, you could also just use your bare hands."

Bombs will apparently bounce off shields. Could they do that before?

This last weekend was the worldwide launch for Pokémon X and Y. Being one of Nintendo's biggest series, you'd expect something new for Kerfuffle, wouldn't you?

So this is neat: they've changed Pit's bow pose. Sakurai said on Miiverse that they changed it specifically, so don't give me shit about "in the air" vs. "on the ground".
