| I've said previously that Gen VI should be taking what's broken and fixing it, and what's underpowered and buffing it. In this thread, I plan to criticise all of GameFreak's decisions as they're announced until the worldwide release of Pokémon X and Y. Surprisingly, I don't hate any of the Pokémon yet. Grass Wotter might actually be my favourite. I hate Wotter, but this grass guy looks okay. Grass has always been the type with the least-offensive starters, though. I think his evolution will be Grass/Dark or Grass/Ground. Not-Vulpix was my favourite at first, but I don't like it as much any more. Despite the trend being Fire/Fighting, I think this guy's gonna be Fire/Psychic. The only one I can't compare to an older Pokémon has the most potential. He may look kind of stupid now, but I bet he'll go one of two ways: Water/Flying on a big cloud like those stupid genies from Gen V, or Water/Ghost with the white puffs becoming purple wisps. Sylveon is interesting. I've always loved Eevees, but this one is kind of odd. It doesn't look like any of the types we have now. If it is an existing type, it'll be Normal. However, they might go full retard and introduce a "Light" or "Fairy" type. Both would be awful, since Fighting is supposed to be the hero, with Psychic being the princess, and Fairy just being silly. X mascot is some kind of weird deer thing. I think that if they introduce a new type, X mascot will be it. It doesn't look like anything, really. Y mascot is a dragon. Naturally, it will be Dragon-type. Dark/Dragon, I'd say. Mewthree has been confirmed as an entirely new Pokémon, and to be related to Mewtwo. Maybe they tried cloning Mew again? Or cloning Mewtwo? Or maybe it's Mewtwo's cousin from the old country? I hated this design the first time I saw it, but I'm warming up to it. If it's handled well, it could be a good Pokémon. But most likely it'll be an event legendary. |

| New Pokémon revealed in CoroCoro probably. The new fighting man looks okay. Shame he's going to be Fighting/Dark and totally be a poor man's Pantslizard.
The generic bird man looks cool. Better than fucking Pidove. It learns Flame Charge, so maybe it'll evolve into a Fire/Flying? That would be cool.
The new electric man, however, looks retarded. 0/10 would not train
The new grass man looks fucking awesome. A fucking grass goat. Goats have been horribly underrepresented in Pokémon, so I'm glad they're finally getting recognition. It learns SAWSbuck's former signature move, Horn Leech. Since I don't think anyone here actually used SAWSbuck, it's basically physical Giga Drain. Or grass Drain Punch, if you'd prefer.
So, the bird and the goat are the first Pokémon of Gen VI that I'm excited for FOR WHICH I AM EXCITED This forces me into the water starter, however. LET'S HOPE IT DOESN'T SUCK THIS TIME |

| wow, i had never seen those mascot Pokémon Both look pretty amazing, which is definitely a step up from such atrocious mess ups like reshiram. not a fan of the new eevee-lution i'm so glad it's not going to be the reboot-esque style of black and white and actually include old Pokémon. I like what they're doing. |

| This picture of the Pokedex was also revealed: https://2img.net/h/oi40.tinypic.com/142a0b5.jpg This indicates that Zigzagoon and Pidgey will be in the new region, Kalos. No new evolutions for either, but it also implies that our new bird is a three-stage. |

| Now Fairy-type is a thing. Jigglypuff, Gardevoir, Marill, and Sylveon are confirmed Fairy. Also, two more new Pokémon are on the official site.
Noivern is... Flying/Dragon? That has to be a typo. This Dragon/Flying Pokémon might be the new pseudo-legendary. It looks REALLY retarded, and disproves sound-type. UNLESS FLYING IS FILLER FOR SOUND OR SONIC
Vivillon Have you ever wondered what Butterfree would look like if it were designed today? WELL WONDER NO LONGER "a secret hidden in the [...] pattern on its wings" CYBER-TYPE CONFIRMED |

| Talonflame is a Fire/Flying Pokémon. Talonflame will most likely be Fletchling's final form.
Skrelp is a Water/Poison Pokémon. It is a horrible Pokémon that only idiots catch.
Clauncher is a pure-type Water Pokémon. Do not let this fool you. Clauncher is a badass Pokémon that real men catch. Clauncher is a worthy addition to any team. Clauncher also enjoys long walks on the beach and romantic dinners by candlelight. |

| Talonflame has been confirmed as a Fletchling evolution. Score one for me.
Vivillon and his own caterpillar/cocoon Pokémon. Not a big fan.
Simba looks kind of retarded. It's Fire/Normal, so it will probably gain a second type? Maybe?
And, uh... this... thing... is a new Fairy-type Pokémon. Since it's on a flower, we can assume it will evolve into a Fairy/Grass Pokémon.
I don't like any of these four Pokémon, so my team stands firm at Gogoat and Clauncher. |

| Remember that panda guy? Well, he evolves. This guy is fighting/dark, which is bullshit, since the BEST Gen V guy was the only fighting/dark. I will never love you like I loved him.
Also, they've finally made a dark/psychic Pokémon. Unfortunately, it's a squid. And it evolves into some kind of squid with a beak. I AM NOT IMPRESSED, GAMEFREAK
They also made a pure fairy-type bird thing. It and that ultra-faggot Skrelp are only available in Pokémon Y.
Also, they made a pure fairy-type ball of cotton. It and the ultimate man's Pokémon, Clauncher, are only available in Pokémon X.
I THINK I KNOW WHICH VERSION I'M GETTING DESPITE ALL THESE NEWLY-REVEALED POKEMON BEING AWFUL |

| Okay, a shitload of... shit today.
First up, Not-Pikachu. As you can tell by the black eyes, small nose, and red circles on the cheeks, this Pokémon is certainly not Pikachu.
Next is probably the Bidoof of Gen VI, rabbit guy. He's, like, totally a rabbit, dude.
Now, remember Gogoat? That goat guy who was covered in grass and shit? He evolves from this.
Now, for the big news. Some Pokémon can now digivolve into MEGA men. The Pokémon revealed for it so far are: Mawile (now Steel/Fairy, by the way) Blaziken Lucario Absol Ampharos Mewtwo
Remember that weird Mewtwo-ass Pokémon revealed near the beginning? He's MEGA MEWTWO. Fucking MEGA MEWTWO.
http://cdn.bulbagarden.net/upload/b/b5/CoroCoro_September_2013_mega_evolution.jpg
I think I get it. Mewtwo is supposed to be THE BEST LEGENDARY, so they're giving him a MEGA FORM so that will always be true. His MEGA FORM is easily the worst, however. Blaziken is a fire/fighting before the physical/special split, so they want to make him work a bit better. He looks kind of odd, but I'll get used to it. Ampharos is obviously based off Zeus. PLUS, HE'S A GODDAMN DRAGON-TYPE Mawile has needed a buff for ages, so. Absol's new wings don't make him dark/flying. It's actually pretty cool. Lucario's new red spots are probably supposed to be, like, molten metal or some shit. I actually like this design a lot.
So far for my team I'm thinking: Clauncher Treeman Talonflame MEGA Lucario MEGA Ampharos |

| For real, though, this MEGA shit could be just the thing some starters need to be actually decent. I mean, if Blaziken gets a new form, the rest must also, right? Here's how I see it:
MEGA Venusaur: grass/poison MEGA Charizard: fire/dragon MEGA Blastoise: water/steel MEGA Pikachu: electric
MEGA Meganium: grass/psychic OR grass/fairy MEGA Typhlosion: fire/fighting OR fire/dark MEGA Feraligatr: water/fighting OR water/dark
MEGA Sceptile: grass/fighting OR grass/dark MEGA Blaziken: fire/fighting MEGA Swampert: water/ground
MEGA Torterra: grass/ground MEGA Infernape: fire/fighting MEGA Empoleon: water/steel
MEGA Smuglord: grass/psychic MEGA Boaruption: fire/fighting MEGA Nharwott: water/fighting
This isn't even counting other Pokémon who may get MEGA forms. THE POSSIBILITIES, GUYS |

| Okay, new shit: >Fire is resistant to Fairy, but Fairy takes normal damage from Fire >MEGA Evolutions are performed when the Pokémon is holding the appropriate MEGA stone; you press the MEGA evolution button on the touch screen, and your Pokémon MEGA evolves; you can use a move on the same turn as a MEGA evolution >You always run; holding the B button causes you to walk (why you'd do that, I have no clue) >New professor is named Professor Sycamore; is a man, but might be a fruit >You can ride more Pokémon than just Gogoat; his prevolution and Rhyhorn were shown ridden >Pokémon-Amie (a pun between Pokémon and the French word monamie), allows you to feed your Pokémon POFFURES which is probably a French poffin, which was a Sinnohian Pokeblock http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokémon_X_and_Y_demo_unveils_title_screen,_various_game_elements |

| So, after you receive your new Kalos-brand starter Pokémon, you also get a Kanto starter for free. Like, right at the beginning. And, of course, it can MEGA evolve.
MEGA Venusaur looks kind of underwhelming. BUT ITS ABILITY IS THICK FAT, PROVIDING RESISTANCE TO FIRE- AND ICE-TYPE MOVES MOTHERFUCKER
MEGA Charizard kind of reminds me of Floatzel. I actually think it looks really cool, though. It gets Drought as its ability, which makes it always sunny when he's out, lowering the power of water-type moves.
MEGA Blastoise looks really cool, too. It gets a new ability, MEGA Launcher, which increases the power of moves with "pulse" in the name.
http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/New_Mega_Evolutions_revealed_during_Nintendo_Direct
Also, here's some sheep-ass dog.
And if you don't have a 3DS yet (like all of us), we're getting not one but TWO limited edition Pokémon X/Y 3DSes. They're both pretty much the same, but one is blue, and the other is red. The game isn't included, naturally. http://bulbanews.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Pokémon_X_and_Y-themed_Nintendo_3DS_XL_systems_to_be_available_in_United_States_and_Europe |

| Remember MEGA Mewtwo? Well Mewtwo also gets a SECOND MEGA evolution called MEGA Mewtwo X. It's fighting/psychic. The old MEGA Mewtwo is actually called MEGA Mewtwo Y.
Then there's MEGA Garchomp. MEGA Garchomp looks like he's wearing a sweet blazer. It retains its dragon/ground typing.
Sheep-ass dog is a normal-type. Its appearance can be changed by giving it a haircut or something? FUCKING LOVE USELESS GIMMICK Pokémon
The next man has differences depending on whether it's a dude or a chick. The dude is white, and the chick is blue. They also learn slightly different moves.
Then, of course, there's the new fossil man. I mean, he was a DRAGON MAN. He's also a DINOSAUR. And it's rock/dragon? Yes. I will take twenty.
The second fossil man is considerably lamer. It is also a dinosaur, but much less cool. It's rock/ice.
Finally, we have the SECOND STAGE OF THE STARTERS. AND THEY ALL SUCK. Grass man has gotten fat. He is still pure grass. Fire man is standing upright, presumably to become fire/fighting later on. For now, he is still pure fire. Water man is probably the best now. I mean look at him.
So, remember the fairy-type? Well NOW WE KNOW WHAT IT DOES Super effective against: Fighting Dark Dragon
Not very effective against: Steel Poison Fire
Weak to: Poison Steel
Resistant to: Bug Fighting Dark
Immune to: Dragon
They have also fucked the steel-type, so now dark-type and ghost-type moves deal normal damage. |
