hate the first track with its "radio-o-o-o" (it's so annoying) |

| 28 Aug 2019: Lagwagon/"Let's Talk About Feelings" (1998) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2019/08/feelings-of-hate.html
so when everything turns grey started i was like "hey this song is way better than the rest of the album" then i realised it's an agent orange cover you know, the band that wrote good songs (lagwagon's version is just a straight-up worse one though) |

opening a show with radio-friendly unit-shifter is uh different these aren't the best performances of these songs an electric version of the man who sold the world is appreciated, though endless, nameless, as always, lasts forever and does nothing
probably the most apathetic 5/5 i'll ever give |

i was prepared to do both discs of in rainbows today, but then i actually looked at my list and saw that this was next ho well
the opener is a live version of 2+2=5, which makes me want another live album from radiohead i'm not usually into remixes, but remyxomatosis is nice (and the name is great)
the only reasons to really care about this are gagging order and fog again, which are legitimately great tracks everything else is disposable |

| 03 Sep 2019: Ozzy Osbourne/"Live and Loud" (1993) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2019/09/louder-than-ever-before.html
this is my 4,000th RYM rating so forgive me this is one of the best years to have an ozzy live album (with zakk anyway) no more tears just came out as one of ozzy's best albums, and most of ozzy's best songs were already out anyway (though i did enjoy black rain)
the album starts with an intro that was probably hype as shit if you were there, but as it sits from my perspective, it's just clips from various ozzy songs this version of i don't want to change the world was on the essential ozzy osbourne, which i own
zakk wylde launching into the star-spangled banner during his guitar solo was NEAT |

| 06 Sep 2019: JFA/"Valley of the Yakes" (1983) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2019/09/valley-of-damned.html
this is a skate punk recommendation i was going to do earlier but i saved it for when i needed something short (it's just over 20 minutes long) i'm glad it's not longer
the reason i don't like punk rock as a whole is bands like this; the vocals are just so generic for the genre, which isn't a good thing in this genre's case basically, this album is the absolute standard for generic punk rock nothing going for it
the cover of walk don't run is nice though, since it's an instrumental |

have i ever mentioned that i hate songs that are like "OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH OH" i also hate on the second track where the first line of the chorus ends with "fearless, fearless" they're such fucking cheap hooks
basically, this has all the trappings of modern male-fronted radio pop i hate it you could have told me this was an imagine dragons album and i would not have batted an eye |
