10 Sep 2012: "Shangrila-dee-da" by Stone Temple Pilots This is the last Stone Temple Pilots album I have to review. This album is good. It's nothing special one way or the other. The album cover is awful, though.

BONUS REVIEW: "Stranger Than Fiction" by Bad Religion http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/03/da-deda-by-da-dedas.html I'm going to keep listening to albums I probably won't like. It's my new thing. It's okay as fuck.

11 Sep 2012: "The Battle of Los Angeles" by Rage Against the Machine This album starts with both Guerrilla Radio and Testify. That's how you know it means business. It's actually the best Rage Against the Machine album. You know.

| BONUS REVIEW: "Rock in Rio" by Iron Maiden http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/03/pins-by-guys-who-have-pins.html Because I've committed. They played half of Brave New World. I'm okay with this. There are also a few Bayley tracks thrown in for kicks. The worst part of these choices is, of course, the lack of any songs from the best Dickinson-era album, Somewhere in Time. breakdown: Iron Maiden: 2 Killers: 1 The Number of the Beast: 3 Piece of Mind: 1 Powerslave: 1 Somewhere in Time: 0 Seventh Son of a Seventh Son: 1 No Prayer for the Dying: 0 Fear of the Dark: 1 The X Factor: 1 Virtual XI: 1 Brave New World: 6
and since everyone cares: Iron Maiden > Killers > Somewhere in Time > Brave New World > Seventh Son of a Seventh Son > The Number of the Beast > Powerslave > Piece of Mind > Fear of the Dark > No Prayer for the Dying > Virtual XI > The X Factor We'll see where Dance of Death fits in NEXT MONTH (if i had to place a bet, i'd say between piece of mind and fear of the dark) 03 OCT 2012, MOTHERFUCKERS |

BONUS REVIEW: "Unicorn" by Tyrannosaurus Rex http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/03/ghost-dogs-by.html The album gets better towards the middle, but I can't tell where one song ends and the next one begins. The last song is filler by any definition.

13 Sep 2012: "Greetings from Asbury Park, N.J." by Bruce Springsteen Manfred Mann's Blinded by the Light is better. This album gets better towards the middle, and is an overall pleasurable experience.

BONUS REVIEW: "Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain" by Pavement http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/02/too-late-to-by-franks.html Seriously, why did they call themselves "Pavement"? They sound nothing like what you'd expect when you hear the name "Pavement". "Pavement" as a band name makes me think of Nickelback or Theory of a Dead Man or some shit. This album's better than Slanted and Enchanted, so there's that. Cut Your Hair is SUPER-gay, though.

BONUS REVIEW: "Loaded" by The Velvet Underground http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/02/men-by-guys.html Like a freight train. /mu/'s essentials list implies that this is the best The Velvet Underground album. I should learn not to trust /mu/. Who Loves the Sun makes me want to kill myself. This shit's terrible. I'm glad that I never give up on the first song, because Sweet Jane's pretty cool. This album is uneven as fuck. Would not recommend.

17 Sep 2012: "OU812" by Van Halen I don't know why, but I really like this. Fuck. The title of this album is very stupid, as it's a response to David Lee Roth's solo album, Eat 'em and Smile. It has the worst album name in history, and yet the album itself is great. Fuck my life.

BONUS REVIEW: "Agent Provocateur" by Foreigner http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/02/ride-post-game-by-guygoyles.html This album's draw is I Want to Know What Love Is, which is only okay. There are some other pretty good songs, but NO ONE CARES ABOUT THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT I WANT TO KNOW WHAT LOVE IS

BONUS REVIEW: "It's Only Rock 'n' Roll" by The Rolling Stones http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/02/check-bag-by-sack-touchers.html Before we start, I don't think I've ever addressed how much I HATE the abbreviation of "until" as "till". "Till" is a separate word entirely. WHERE DOES THE SECOND "L" COME FROM GUYS TELL ME WHERE This album doesn't have anything bad on it, but it doesn't have any standouts, either. The final track drags on for ages, however.

BONUS REVIEW: "Road to Rouen" by Supergrass http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/02/mr-moonlight-by-foreigner.html I ACCIDENTALLY MADE THERE BE TWO FOREIGNER REVIEWS IN ONE MONTH SO I'M FIXING THAT The first half is just okay, but the second is actually pretty great.

20 Sep 2012: "Motley Crue" by Motley Crue They replaced Vince Neil with some other guy. Imagine a generic metal band. Imagine them being completely average and kind of uninteresting. Imagine every song being a minute or two too long.

21 Sep 2012: "Hands All Over" by Maroon 5 Of course, the version I downloaded is the iTunes version or something, so it doesn't have Moves Like Jagger. I'm glad that I can keep going through life having never heard it. I really like this album. I'd say it's the band's best.

BONUS REVIEW: "Lights and Sounds" by Yellowcard http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2011/02/stop-not-buying-my-albums-guys-by-frog.html This was advertised like a motherfucker in 2006. Guess it's time to finally listen to it. Of course, who couldn't hype an album that begins with a filler instrumental? This album is, like, average as fuck. Like, there's nothing here that is even worth the time.
