3 awful guitar mistakes you can clearly see that guy is making them i mean he's holding that guitar in air without a strap that's dangerous and he has his guitar plugged but the chord seems to lead nowhere i don't think he has an amp in his pants also he shouldn't have his thumb up there above the fretboard unless he's bending if he's bending then it's okay to have your thumb there looks like he's bending the A string not a fan of it but i guess it's okay

Actually...

He IS wearing a strap, the guitar's just at such an angle that it bends out of view behind him but you can see the end of it attached to the strap button and some of it carry on through to his back. Also, the cord thing... well, most guys loop their cable through their strap like that so it doesn't get in the way and if they step on it, they don't come unplugged. Also, tons of guys put their thumb over the fretboard. Hendrix did it and blues guys do it. You don't have to have big hands to feel comfortable doing it, I mean, the neck on an electric guitar is pretty slim compared to say, an acoustic or classical. Really, the whole thumb position correctness thing is a classical guitar pet peeve. Electric Rock guitar is much less formal and disciplined. Also, bending the bottom bass strings isn't too uncommon. I bend the A string loads. Though it doesn't really look like he's bending to me. If I were bending the A or Low E, I'd bend down, away from the edge so the string doesn't slip off the end of the fretboard. It looks like he's just playing a single note or a small chord or something he's just picked and now he's moving his right hand over to flip the toggle switch over to the neck pickup or something. Or maybe he's got the neck pickup's volumed rolled off and he wants to do like, a kill switch kind of effect. Or he could be exerting pressure into the body to do a neck dive effect for vibrato or a sound similar to a dive bomb. Maybe he thinks it looks cool, I don't know.
