Note that GH4's interface/gameplay is the same as RB's, but with GH3 note timing.
What the fuck was I on when I wrote that

You start as an emo kid (created by you in the Create-An-Emo mode, with several emo hairstyle selections, and emo band shirts, you can only be male, though). You father has just beaten you, and you start cutting. Then you start to rock, as an escape (with backing tracks). Oh, and your guitar is a white Epiphone Les Paul.

1: Chase the Blues Away. - Your Room.
"We Are All on Drugs" by Weezer, 2005
"The Man Who Sold the World" by David Bowie, 1970
"Jumpin' Jack Flash" by The Rolling Stones, 1968
"Saving Grace" by Tom Petty, 2006
"The Stroke" by Billy Squier, 1981
Encore Effect: The action figures get naked.
Encore: "Smells Like Nirvana" by Weird Al Yankovic, 1992

Then your father comes in. "You know, that last song was right. It DID bug your parents". Then he beats you into hospitalization.

When you wake up, you're at the hospital, and you learn that your dad's been put in jail. The doctors ask for their money, but you have none, and the government sure as *bleep* ain't gonna pay for it. You decide to pay the doctors with rock (with backing tracks).

2: Down With the Sickness. - The Hospital.
"Fat-Bottomed Girls" by Queen, 1978
"Nite Mamas" by Limozeen, 2003
"We're Not Gonna Take It" by Twisted Sister, 1984
"Given to Fly" by Pearl Jam, 1998
"Youth Gone Wild" by Skid Row, 1989

Dave Grohl, who was at the hospital at the time, visiting a friend, wants to do a guitar duel, just for fun.

Guitar Battle: "Guitar Battle Vs. Dave Grohl" by Dave Grohl, 2008
Encore Effect: CODE BLUE (and Dave sings the encore).
Encore: "Times Like These" by Foo Fighters, 2002

Dave is impressed by your prowess, however stating that "I was going easy on ya', though". He tells you you should join a band, and says he'd be more than happy to fill the spot of drummer. He also gives the location of a bassist and singer wanting to put a band together.

Oh, and you've unlocked the STORES. You can get new, non-emo clothing, new, non-emo hairstyles, YOU CAN EVEN GET A SEX CHANGE.

When you get there, there's a female bassist, and the male lead singer. They say, "DAVE GROHL? WHAT'RE YOU DOIN' HERE?!?!" "My friend and I would like to form a band with you." "... you're hired. Let's see how well we play together, though."

3: The Audition. - A Garage.
"Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynyrd Skynyrd, 1974
"Paralyzer" by Finger Eleven, 2007
"The Majesty of Rock" by Spinal Tap, 1992
"Ring of Fire" by Johnny Cash, 1963
"Pickin' Up the Pieces" by Quiet Riot, 1993
Encore Effect: You amass a crowd.
Encore: "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle" by Nirvana, 1993

The singer and bassist are impressed, even with Dave. You four try to get a gig, finding a small bar willing to let you do a show.

4: Your First Real Gig. - A Small Bar.
"A Lil' Ain't Enough" by David Lee Roth, 1991
"Kickstart My Heart" by Mötley Crüe, 1989
"Rock N' Roll Band" by Boston, 1976
"Child of Innocence" by Kansas, 1975
"Individually Twisted" by Paul Gilbert, 2000
Encore Effect: You jump into the crowd, and, uh, crowd surf.
Encore: "Love Me Two Times" by Aerosmith, 1990

The bar owner says his brother owns an even bigger bar in the next state, and you should play there.

5: Bigger and Better Things. - A Big Bar.
"Life in the Fast Lane" by Eagles, 1976
"Burn" by Deep Purple, 1974
"Dead Star" by Muse, 2002
"Headfirst for Halos" by My Chemical Romance, 2002
"Let it Roll" by Velvet Revolver, 2007

Tony Iommi then approaches you, and says there's one spot left in OzzFest, and if you can beat him in a guitar duel, you can have it.

Guitar Battle: "Guitar Battle Vs. Tony Iommi" by Tony Iommi, 2008
Encore Effect: Ozzy comes on stage, half drunk, to sing SBS.
Encore: "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" by Black Sabbath, 1973

Ozzy give you your ticket, and...

6: Everyone Wants a Piece of Your Success... - OzzFest.
"Burnin' for You" by Blue Öyster Cult, 1981
"Pulse of the Maggots" by Slipknot, 2004
"Unskinny Bop" by Poison, 1990
"I Am the Night, Colour Me Black" by Priestess, 2006
"Still Raining, Still Dreaming" by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, 1968
Encore Effect: The police come out, and try to arrest Ozzy!
Encore: "Renegade" by Styx, 1978

You saved Ozzy, with rock, and he calls up the Ruskies for a preformance for you, and gives you another plane ticket.

7: Ruskie Rock. - Red Square.
"Sillyworld" by Stone Sour, 2006
"White Room" by Cream, 1968
"I Kill Children" by Dead Kennedys, 1980
"Custard Pie" by Led Zeppelin, 1975
"On Fire" by Van Halen, 1978

Dave Murray comes out from behind the red curtain. He challenges you to a duel.

Guitar Battle: "Guitar Battle Vs. Dave Murray" by Dave Murray, 2008
Encore Effect: People start throwing Rubles onto the stage! Ouch! And Paul Di'Anno comes out to sing the encore! Yay!
Encore: "Charlotte the Harlot" by Iron Maiden, 1980

Then Paul and Dave tell you of the secret island of bondage. AVAST!

8: We're Off to See the Wizard! - The Airport.
"Angel" by Marty Friedman, 1992
"Scarified" by Racer X, 1987
"Domination" by Pantera, 1990
"Master Exploder" by Tenacious D, 2006
"Have a Drink on Me" by AC/DC, 1980
Encore Effect: You get your tickets! zomg nowai
Encore: "Shadow of Your Love" by Guns N' Roses, 1986

You get on the plane, and you have to sit between two large Albanian women, the kid behind you's throwin' up the whole flight, AND THE IN-FLIGHT MOVIE IS BIO-DOME WITH POLLY SHORE. Eventually, you get to the island.

The first test is a set, because THIS IS GUITAR HERO!

9: The First Test. - Rock Island.
"Painkiller" by Judas Priest, 1990
"Phantom Lord" by Metallica, 1983
"He-Man Woman Hater" by Extreme, 1990
"Perineum" by John 5, 2005
"Addicted to That Rush" by Mr. Big, 1989
Encore Effect: The stone head goes down, and Dio comes out to sing your encore. You let him, because, well, he's Dio, the most metal man in the universe.
Encore: "Rock N' Roll Children" by Dio, 1985

Each of you have to go into seperate caverns, for each of your tests.

10: The Final Tests. - Rock Island Cavern.

The first thing you see is a blue flag with Brad Paisley on it. You approach it. Holograms of Pasiley's band appear, minus Paisley.

"The Nervous Breakdown" by Brad Paisley, 1999

Then you approach a green SRV flag. Holograms of Double Trouble appear.

"Rude Mood" by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, 1983

Next is an orange Chris Poland flag. Holograms of Killing is My Business-era Megadeth, minus Chris, appear.

"Killing is My Business... and Business is Good!" by Megadeth, 1985

Next is a purple Randy Rhoads flag. You're given an RR1, if you don't have one already, and holograms of Ozzy and co. appear.

"Suicide Solution" by Ozzy Osbourne, 1986

You see the last (red) flag, and the exit. To get there, you have to pass the Jason Becker test. There's no backing band. Just you.

"Perpetual Burn" by Jason Becker, 1988

You approach the door with all five flags, but a steel door bars your progress! A man walks out from the dark.

You: "Who are you?"
???: "Relax. ]m programed at recieve. Alli atalfa i maes unrhyw amsera cari , namyn alli erioed ad."
You: "Beth ydy hon? - 'r Gwesty California?"
The Nightman: "Ie!"

Guitar Battle: "Guitar Battle Vs. The Nightman" inspired by Hotel California by The Eagles, 1976

The steel door opens. Outside, you find that only Dave Grohl, you, and the bassist survived the tests. The final challenge is here. The Keeper then summons Ronnie James Dio and Bruce Dickinson, instructing you to "Gwna beth ewyllysi". You begin to play "Freebird", but then stop saying, "Haven't we done this before?". Then a secret compartment in the RR1 opens to reveal a gun. You shoot The Keeper.

Final Encore: "I Shot the Sheriff" by Bruce Dickinson, Ronnie James Dio, Dave Grohl, generic bassist, and Eifion Lewis, 2008

Epilogue: Everyone then begins to inspect the caves, and add their own yellow flags. You and the bassist, however, stay behind, and you two get down and dirty on the amps! EVEN IF YOU GOT A SEX CHANGE. So, you two get married, and the credits roll...

Credits Song: "Whenever You Need Somebody" by Rick Astley ft. Paul Gilbert, 2008

Main Character: Rick Astley (even if you got a sex-change).
Main Character's Father: Arnold Schwartzeneger.

After you beat Expert, there's a code that has you playing the riff to "Black Sabbath" by Black Sabbath. This unlocks a bonus battle and encore.

BONUS SCENE:

You approach Jadek's mountain hideaway.

Please note that Jadek has an English accent. He's voiced by that guy who voiced Liquid Snake.

You: "JADEK! THIS ENDS HERE!"
Jadek: "Ahh... brother. Mother did always like me best!"
You: "Not true."
Jadek: "I heard about The Polish Inquisition."
You: "What?!?! You were expecting it?!?!"
Jadek: "Fool. NOBODY EXPECTS THE POLISH INQUISITION."
You: "Let's settle this mano y mano."
Jadek: "You're on."

Secret Guitar Battle: "Guitar Battle Vs. Jadek" by Eifion Lewis, 2008

Jadek falls off the cliff (but manages to grab the edge) because of your awesome shreddage, and you save him!

Jadek: "But... brother... why?"
You: "You're my brother."
