E3: Day One thoughts.

Microsoft:

Rock Band: The Beatles looks badass.
Same for FFXIII.
Crackdown 2 is a much-needed sequel.
Alan Wake looks pretty cool.
Metal Gear Solid Rising looks so fucking badass! I want it now!
All the other games are "meh" or "eeewww".

Natal or whatever looks gay as fuck, though. The guy presenting it was a douchebag.

Peter Molyneux is so British!

EA:

They wasted the opener on GAY.
Need for Speed: Shift is a sell-out maneuver. I want Underground 3 or Hot Pursuit 3.
Dragon Age: Origins is by BioWare. It can't suck. In fact, it looks downright badass.
Mass Effect 2! I've been looking forward to this since the original came out in '07. I hope ol' Julie Shepard's level sixty-ness is retained. I wanna get my hands on that nuke.
Sports games. Ugh. Just, ugh.
The boxers in Fight Night were too sweaty.
Mixed Martial Arts? It might be good? I don't know?
EA Active: WII FIT RIP-OFF.
Grand Slam Tennis is, um, a rip-off of Wii Sports.
Saboteur: Feeling Good, indeed. Looks fucking badass.
Brutal Legend has too many great musicians in it. That's dangerous. Harmonix were able to pull it off, but Neversoft weren't. Looks badass, though. I want it.
Crysis 2 doesn't matter. I don't own anything that can run it.

Star Wars: The Old Republic will suck. Fucking MMORPGs.

Natal looks too perfect to be true. As Peter Molyneux was talking about it, I have a feeling it is.

I missed the EA and Ubisoft conferences, but I saw some of the trailers they were showing beforehand, and caught up with the others on Joystiq.



Nintendo and Sony tonight! Sony need to fucking impress me if I'm gonna buy me a PS3.

Could it be two different games? A Raiden one for 360, and a Big Boss one for PS3?

If it is, I feel the PS3 gets the better deal. Then again, that is kinda expected...
