| 27 Oct 2018: The Struts/"Young and Dangerous" (2018) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/10/disappointing-and-bad.html
the long-awaited second album starting with a filler track was a BOLD MOVE that didn't pay off the high notes on the third track are among the worst i've ever heard
for some reason, the lines "i've got to be honest / 'cause we made a promise" made me cringe slightly not like the meme "cringe" bullshit; i actually had a look on my face and i bent my torso and neck forward a bit
tatler magazine is actually pretty good though which is cool ashes is so close but it needed more time in the oven
ashes should have closed the album, but instead we great a reprise of the first filler track (this time featuring kesha) honestly though kesha improves the song |

| 28 Oct 2018: Dragony/"Masters of the Multiverse" (2018) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/10/masters-degree-of-multiverse.html
these power metal albums get more and more ambitious; no longer able to settle for a mere universe they need a better singer he sounds like he belongs more in swedish good charlotte than a power metal band
it's okay i guess |

| 31 Oct 2018: "Bat Head Soup - A Tribute to Ozzy Osbourne" http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/10/a-tribute-to-oswald-lucky-rabbit.html
remember back when i did tribute albums that was a good week
this album features rock stars butchering nine songs from ozzy's solo career, and two from black sabbath (but when i think of those two songs, i think of the tribute version anyway so)
tim "ripper" owens opens the album with a terrible performance on mr. crowley first he ruins judas priest now this mr. crowley doesn't work if you just metal scream it i honestly think only ozzy can do it; his voice is so distinctive it doesn't work as a straightforward metal song also what the fuck is yngwie doing to the guitar solos
over the mountain is far less offensive my standards are very low after that mr. crowley though lemmy does pretty well with desire
dee snider was the exact wrong person to choose for crazy train having a traditionally good singer do goodbye to romance just doesn't really work; the girl's voice is too sweet-sounding jlt's hellraiser is the highlight of the album so far
and it was dethroned one track later man, this version of shot in the dark is GREAT i like it better than the original, even in every respect jeff scott soto does a GREAT job at the vocals bruce kulick does better with the guitar part of this song than jake e. lee did
paul gilbert plays guitar on children of the grave here but it's kind of a waste (i like the little trill he does at the end i guess) it's an okay cover but i'm not jumping up and down
vince neil's paranoid is just silly it does not work should have put him on uh i don't know (the song called i don't know, i mean)
this version of suicide solution sucks it has no edge it has nothing it's such a non-entity that i would have preferred if they got some shit nu metal band like distrurbed to do it so at least it wouldn't be absolutely nothing
the album ends with i don't know the vocals suck and the echo effect at the end of every line is awful
album is worth it for shot in the dark and maybe hellraiser but the rest can die in a fire |

| 01 Nov 2018: The Beatles/"Abbey Road" (1969) [revisited] http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2018/11/abbey-road-revisited.html
come together is one of those songs that i feel has been done better by like everyone i'd honestly rather listen to aerosmith's version the original is growing on me, however i really like the guitar at the end of the chorus during the long pause between "right now" and "over me" (the best version of the song is when the guy mashed up come together with fat-bottomed girls)
something does what it does really well definitely probably the best song george did with the band (i feel like i said this before about a different song)
maxwell is an alphamale the ultimate chad i love this song, unironically if it wasn't about brutal murder, it would not work in the slightest if it wasn't performed so light-heartedly, it would not work in the slightest i would totally play a videogame about maxwell
oh! darling is legitimately in the top five songs i don't have to qualify that with "that the beatles performed" or "ever in the history of music" if you are talking about songs, oh! darling is in the top five it is PERFECT the bass, the guitar, the piano, the drums, ESPECIALLY the vocals, fucking everything
octopus's garden is ringo's best song
full disclosure: i hated i want you the first time i heard it the end went on for fucking ever with no end in sight then it startled the shit out of me when it ended i thought the power went out now i love the song so even if it was just the first part, it would be great but the ending just works on every level once you know it's there
here comes the sun exists because sucks fucking ass and it's a blight on the fucking album
then we get to the medley you never give me your money is great; all it really needed was an ending to be its own song but it doesn't need that, because the way it ties into the medley is perfect especially how they reprise it a bit on golden slumbers (the one two three four five six seven part would be annoying if not for the guitar solo in the background)
sun king? more like SUCK KING LMFAO seriously though it's terrible and i wish it wasn't there
mean mr. mustard is okay it seems a lot better than it is because it directly follows the fucking shit that is sun king but it's not that great polythene pam has a neato guitar part she came in through the bathroom window is better than the three parts before it
golden slumbers/carry that weight being together is absolutely perfect they belong together like cereal and milk
the end is the greatest end to anything ever the guitar solos and the drum solo and oh god everything is perfect ringo's drum solo is great because it's not just banging mindlessly on a drum it's a catchy beat
her majesty is neato i usually rally against hidden tracks but this one's forgivable because the gap is SHORT (most important thing) and also it's all meant to be one song anyway

i'd say that this is the most pretentious album title ever but then i remembered that coheed and cambria exist
check out my power metal album ratings bro https://rateyourmusic.com/collection/Rakitox/strm_h,ss.rd/power%20metal
somehow, i have far more high-rated power metal albums than glam metal albums https://rateyourmusic.com/collection/Rakitox/strm_h,ss.rd/glam%20metal |

i have never once heard a good cover of born to be wild they also had a version of this song on their 2017 covers album i think it's a different version but i can't be bothered to find out i say this because my rating on that album for born to be wild was "i couldn't tell" this version here isn't too wild either but i don't think i'd go that far on a rating of it
"give me a rock and roll handshake" what does that even mean
