| Bloody Well Right only got a good!? now that's the crime of the century I've always liked Hide In Your Shell's chorus progression, but the song as a whole is pretty eh. And I like Rudy's direct musical call out to The Who's 5:15, keeping up the train theme. |

I had no clue that Tears for Fears originally wrote and recorded Mad World. Unfortunately, their version has absolutely no feeling to it. The lyrics and the music are at odds with eachother. It's at least three times as fast as it should be. |

I can't believe this. They just played a song of their own on their own album, and bleeped out the word "ass". SO MUCH FOR BEING REBELLIOUS YOU FUCKING RETARDS BLEEPING OUT A WORD IN A SONG ABOUT BEING A REBEL IS ABSOLUTELY RETARDED FUCK OFF i docked half a star off the album's rating for this
the rest of this album is so phoned in it's not even funny |

opening with the reflex makes me hopeful that this will be a good album i hope they don't dash those hopes too soon
This is Duran Duran's best album by miles. While it never again reaches the high of The Reflex, songs like New Moon on Monday, Union of the Snake, and Shadows on Your Side definitely put in a good effort. I was extremely pleasantly surprised by this album. |

| 09 Mar 2016: Bad Religion/"Against the Grain" (1990) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2009/08/help-me-to-help-you-by-helpers.html
Bad Religion are one of the best punk rock bands to ever do. They never keep a song or album going for longer than it can support, and, while they are a very "one sound" band, it's a great sound. This album follows 1989's absolutely brilliant No Control, and is not really anywhere near as good. Oh well.
top three punk rock bands: 1. green day 2. bad religion 3. my chemical romance the replacements aren't punk are they |

| i'd just like to post the filler review i just typed up before it's gone forever: "Glue" by The Adhesives My favourite band. Their music just sticks with me.
10 Mar 2016: The Rolling Stones/"Voodoo Lounge" (1994) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2009/08/glue-by-adhesives.html
this band really should have quit after emotional rescue maybe release start me up as a single if you absolutely must the world wouldn't be any worse for not having start me up though
through and through could be used as a cute for insomnia |

I figure we might as well finish this discography now.
The new singer may sound like a poor man's Rod Stewart, but he gets the job done. It's a shame Rod didn't stick around, since the songs here are the best the band's ever put out. Except Sugar Cane, which is irredeemably horrible. well jack white could probably make it a good song but that's because he's a master of black magic
that one part is stricken out because they tricked me into typing that then made a bunch of shitty songs really shitty songs |

i really wish this band had a different name like any other name
The cover of Sunshine of Your Love is neat. Giving the same touch to Don't Fear the Reaper, however, didn't work well at all. |

This is the best Wolfmother album. Whether or not that means anything is debatable. I actually really like this album for some reason. I don't think it'll win over anyone who hates the band, though.
if you look at my rym score for this album you will be ashamed of me |

a lot of bands have one hit that's just kind of there it's not terribly creative or imaginative it's decent enough but it's just kind of there
the rolling stones have start me up aerosmith have DUDE david bowie had rebel rebel green day have oh love queen have we will we will rock you boston have don't look back u2 have beautiful day
beautiful day however has the distinction (along with oh love i suppose) of being the best song on the album it's on
which means of course that the rest of the album is bad the last five tracks really should have been jettisoned |

| 15 Mar 2016: Rick Astley/"Hold Me in Your Arms" (1988) http://musiccouldbebetter.blogspot.com/2016/03/julio-and-case-of-missing-gas-lamps-by.html
The cover of Ain't Too Proud to Beg is in an oddly low key. Like, Rick's voice sounds deeper than usual. Almost like someone slowed the song down afterward without altering the pitch.
While this album doesn't have anything that lives up to the big four of Whenever You Need Somebody (Never Gonna Give You Up, the title track, Together Forever, and Slippin' Away), this is still a really enjoyable album. Shame it ends on its worst track. |

confession: i skipped an elvis album the religious one sorry
this album splits the album in half, with the ballads at the front and the not-ballads at the back this works well since the not-ballads are the highlight |
