Every song here has a chorus that is the worst part of it. Songs will be divided into seven categories:


Songs where the chorus isn't really bad, but it's still easily the worst part of the song:

I don't mind I Me Mine's chorus

these are just off the top of my head....It's hard to separate verses from choruses when thinking about songs without listening to them

All right, I added most of those. I didn't add Love Me Like You Do because I really don't think the chorus is worse than the rest of it.


I also moved a few tiers around, though that's mostly personal taste.
I can't hear Cocker's The Letter as anything but mediocre since the original is just miles and miles better.


I also added a few more songs to the final category.

I'm on a joe cocker kick these days thanks to his version of The Letter. I love it to pieces and am not particularly impressed with the original

Love Me Like You Do's chorus physically hurts me. the l-l-love me part pierces me in a bad way

I'll move it up to "good", but not a bit higher.
It's still the best Joe Cocker song I've heard of the three. That's not exactly an achievement, since both Woman to Woman and his cover of With a Little Help from My Friends are absolute shit.

Mediocre song with bad chorus:

Great songs where chorus is the worst part but not bad:
"Roundabout" by Yes
"Hump De Bump" by Red Hot Chili Peppers

Good call on Hump de Bump and Never Say Never.
The worst part of Roundabout is the weird solo thing four minutes in.

Is the chorus of Roundabout the "In and around the lake..." part? I think I might have to agree that's the worst part.

At least the solo has some pretty neat layered percussion driving it.
