Fallout 4

I refuse to believe this. I refuse to believe that this game won't be a pile of shit.

Fallout 4 is so ambitious that I can't believe that it could be even a quarter as good as they've shown. It looked like the second coming of Jesus fucking Christ Himself, and I can't imagine how it could deliver on this hype unless Bethesda have discovered the secrets of time travel.


It's like this:
Imagine I came into your house and claimed to be Our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ Himself. I, Jesus Christ Himself, claim to be able to shit out gold bricks, but they are not gold unless I shit them onto the floor. DO YOU LET ME SHIT ON YOUR FLOOR Y/N

but brink and rage have both won "game of show" awards and look how they ended up

for now: it looks so fucking cool and i can't wait to play it to death

i'm going to try and convince myself that it will be complete and utter shit so that i won't be disappointed or i can be pleasantly surprised

but for real the mass effect-ass dialogue system and mass effect-ass voiced protagonist are really what's putting me off

I like looking at these, because they tell you shit about the game you might not know otherwise.

For example:
>You can join factions, as in The Elder Scrolls
>The level cap is 50
>Bobbleheads return
>You can play games within the game on your Pip-Boy
>You can score a touchdown

Too many "do X number of this" achievements, though.

I hope Bethesda at least took some cues from Obsidian, most importantly making it so followers are essential NPCs when they're following you.

Also, what is this list for. Like, approved names for your character? or NPC names?

At the beginning of the game, your robot butler actually says the name you gave your character if it's on that list.

So if your name is Edward or Michelle or something STUPID LIKE THAT, you get the generic line.
But if your name is something normal like Unbreakable or Madam.fuz5, you're good to go.
