This does raise an interesting point, however.
For Kerfuffle, two starter Pokémon have been confirmed. Greninja, who is one from X/Y, and Charizard, who is also giving early on in X/Y, and is the most iconic. Every starter trio is fire/water/grass, and Kerfuffle has fire and water.
With OR/AS coming out, what's to say we won't get a complete trio?

I hope that Sceptile and Swampert get mega evolutions like Blaziken did. It's only fair.

First, we have this. This shows, in order:
>Mega Diancie (rock/fairy legendary Pokémon from Gen VI, ability unknown)

I wish Mega Swampert had gotten lightning rod. He's clearly the best one.


Next is this. It's odd.
It's not Mega Groudon and Mega Kyogre, but rather a new type of form. It doesn't have an official English name yet, but of the proposed ones, I like Primeval Groudon and Primeval Kyogre. They assume these forms via "ancient devolution". I have no idea what the fuck.


Next is this, which shows the new designs of Team Magma and Team Aqua. Team Aqua's looking very spiffy. And black.


Next is this, which shows the new designs of Brendan and May. Note that Brendan's hat is very much a hat. They're looking awfully beachy. I think Brendan looks MUCH worse. I'm undecided on May.


Last is this. Apparently, Steven Stone teaches you about megas and all that shit.

What's wrong with it? The red eyes are kind of stupid, but it's no worse than, say Mega Kangaskhan.
As long as he's still ghost/dark, I'm fine with it.

i just think they could have gone in a lot better direction than giving him a crystal shield. and the animation for just enlarging a crystal out of nowhere is pretty ridiculous.

honestly, a lot of these megas are kind of pointless
since you can apparently only have one in your party at a time, the options are kind of limited

it would have been better to give sableye, mawile, kangaskhan, gyarados, etc. regular evolutions and kept the megas for three-stage lines and legendaries

Now that you mention it, I'm REALLY glad it wasn't Mega Slowking. His head would be completely inside the Shellder.

MORE MEGAS

MEGA Sharpedo, which is still water/dark. Its ability powers up bite, crunch, and moves with "fang" in the name. It is used by Archie. I think he looks pretty fucking sweet.

MEGA Camerupt, which is still fire/ground. Its ability powers up moves with an additional effect, but never activates the additional effect. It is used by Maxie. I think he'd look better if the weird fur on the bottom weren't there and you could see his legs.

MEGA Gallade, which we don't know SHIT about, other than that it is used by Wally. Wally's looking a bit awful, to be honest. I'm not sure how I feel about Gallade here. I wish more of him was green. There's a bit too much white, I think.

There will also be a demo next month, distributed by Coro Coro, meaning "only in Japan". I don't know why you'd want a demo of a Pokémon game anyway. You pretty much know what you're getting into.

the mega idea was sorta cool at first, but i am not a fan of these last 3 (although mega camerupt could be okay)

I honestly doesn't get why they don't just add normal evolutions for one- or two-stage Pokémon.
Especially since you can only have one Mega on your team at a time.

i agree. why not just make mega-sableye and mega-mawhile actual full time evolutions?
the other problem i have with megas is that they're making the super strong Pokémon even stronger. Gengar, Metagross, gen I and III starters, etc.
on that note, i feel like a mega/new evolution for cacturne would be badass. hopeful thinking

Mega Grumpig is the Gen III guy I'm hoping gets one. He needs a power boost, but I like him a lot.

I'm not so sure about Megas in relation to competitive Pokemoning. Mega Charizard X I think finally made him viable, which is nice. And Mega Venusaur, too, I think.
I get why they'd want to improve classics who couldn't be improved any other way, but they might be going a bit overboard.

I hope they give the Gen II starters Megas next generation. I think they need it more than any other set.

The thing that stands out to me there is that it has Garchomp but not Mega Garchomp. Aegislash seems kind of OP, though.
